Weekly Roundup: Secrets Exposed, Deceptions Over Health, Favours, Deals & The NATO Summit
Week ending 13th & 14th July 2024
A very international political feel to this week’s oracle card readings, appropriate with the week culminating in the NATO summit with multiple international leaders involved.
Spreads this week included the Kipper Master Card spread, the Four Corners layout (I don’t use this enough, but it was super accurate so I may start using it more) and the Gossip Spread. Click on the buttons below to check out how to lay and read these three.
Here are the summaries of all the readings for the week. They seemed pretty spot on, I have to say.
This Week: Back Down To Earth As Doubts Creep In; Secrets Exposed, A Warning To Be Wary Of Deception & Over Idealism
The cards for this week give a sense of idealism followed by doubt, a coming back down to earth. Disillusionment looms large as we may see doubts beginning to creep in to perhaps idealised situations, as what seems quite wonderful at first may turn out to be less so in the cold light of day. It looks as though although a desire or wish has been fulfilled, but a secret entrusted will be exposed this week, with something someone knows coming out into the open. It appears to involve someone wealthy and an agreement or promise between two parties. Traditionally, this is the sign of an engagement, but it could suggest a deal or promise made in any scenario. The idealism comes up again, with a hope being fulfilled, perhaps as a result of this deal, there’s a kind of passion and sense of being swept off one’s feet there, but alas, it appears once again we are being cunningly deceived. So a warning here not to trust too blindly, even if things seem wonderful on the surface.
Overall this week, there’s a sense of shadowy goings-on and the need to decide who and what to trust. There is deceit and someone not being at all what they seem, and some “suspicious” or murky associations. All is not lost though, as it appears that this will give way to more wholesome and above board connections, something much healthier. It’s a case of not going too overboard with enthusiasm, as it’ll be regretted, and being careful not to let negative “whisperings” or the stirring up of any dark underlying forces take hold.
I think most of this prediction is pretty much about “business as usual” politically, whichever country you’re in (although precious little idealism in the US at the moment as the saga of Joe Biden’s health is still rumbling on, especially after his performance and major gaffes at the NATO summit). I haven’t seen too much “doubt” creeping in as yet here in the UK after Labour’s election landslide, but as with all new governments, there’s a honeymoon period and it inevitably will start appearing in the next weeks and months. (Although new boy Keir Starmer did say, when quizzed by journos here, that Biden seemed on good form to him during their NATO meeting, and who knows, perhaps he was? Not to mention that Starmer and the other politicos in attendance at the Washington summit can’t exactly say much else without causing an international incident and upsetting their hosts, can they? Remaining diplomatic is key.)
So it’s tricky. Most of the doubt mentioned in this reading is focused on the US and the Dems right now. “Something someone knows coming out into the open,” well, that could be the reveal this week about Parkinson’s specialists having visited the White House on several occasions in the past few years; it’s really about what those around Biden have been aware of and when. George Clooney pulling his support this week with an eviscerating article in the NYT is also part of that. But I’m not sure what would look “wonderful on the surface”; I think most people are fairly cynical and untrusting right now. Nor am I sure about exactly what “murky” associations are being highlighted. It appears that if anything’s getting hidden, it won’t stay hidden for long, as this seems to be an era where pretty much anything that’s been kept quiet is going to be coming up to the surface and exposed to the light. A clear up is long overdue, it seems.
For the rest of the week, we had various political stories, culminating in the NATO summit and Joe’s giant gaffe (introducing President Zelensky as “President Putin”. Luckily, Zelensky kept it humorous, but collective gasps could be heard at this face-palm moment, when all eyes are on Joe for signs of cognitive decline). Anyway. Check below for the week’s other readings.
