The Kipper Master Card Spread
Step By Step Instructions On Reading The Kipper Master Card Spread
The “Master Card” spread is one that I use quite often here on the Daily Oracle and much as I’d love to claim credit, I originally picked it up from a Youtuber called Malkiel, who some of you may be familiar with, who says he had it handed down to him by a family member. Some readers have never use it and have developed their own methods with quite different references for the cards. I have, however, seen a number of readers from different routes using the same Master Card spread, including German readers, so it definitely seems to be a “thing” (rather than just someone’s own personal method) and have found it incredibly useful myself. Hence I wanted to share it with you here along with some examples, and my own additions to it, as the online instructions are usually very unclear.
In this reading you're going to end up coming up with a kind of small "tableau" to read. The size and shape of it, though, will entirely depend on the cards you pull. It can be very short or quite long; the below is quite a long version.
The method takes a bit of practice and some time to get your head around, but here's what I've been doing and now I do it without thinking. So bear with me: it sounds complicated at first, but is actually very easy once you're used to it. We’ll go step by step through it below, and then test ourselves on a practice reading.
