This Week: A Woman's Theft & Fraudulent Behaviour & News, Perhaps False, Of Disappointment Over Disaster
w/c 12th June 2023
For this week’s news upcoming, we’re using the popular Italian Vera Sibilla oracle deck. This, like its sister deck the Gypsy Oracle (Sibilla della Zingara) has 52 cards, all of which can have reversed as well as upright meanings.
You can find out more about the Vera Sibilla , including detailed card meanings and tips on how to read the cards here:
The cards I pulled for this week are as follows, using the keycard of the Letter (La Lettera) at the centre for news.
The Cards
Letter (La Lettera), Consolation (R) (Grand Consolazione), Falseness (Falsita), Service (Domestico), Thief (Il Ladro), Foe (La Nemica), Thought (Il Pensiero), Misfortune (Disgrazia), Despair (Desperato per gelosia)
The Reading
The news this week seems to concern the disappointment of a person or perhaps more than one person, in a subservient or serving position, whose dreams and hopes of what or whom they are serving appear to have been dashed somewhat (Consolation R, Service). Their thoughts have turned to despair (Thought, Despair).
There is news of a fraud or falsehood regarding a theft or loss, and also concerning a particular woman who is viewed as an enemy (Falseness, Thief, Foe). At the root of it all is a disaster (Misfortune).
News is of the woman’s theft or losses caused by her (Thief, Letter, Foe), and there is likely to be an expression of open disappointment, which may not be entirely honest, by someone in a subordinate position (Consolation R, Falseness, Service)—or there is disappointment that the spirit of service itself has been lost. Meanwhile, beneath this there may be utterly despairing thoughts over the disaster that’s occurred (Thought, Misfortune, Despair).
Disappointment or hopelessness in the thoughts of those affected by the loss (Consolation, R, Thief, Thought) although what is written about this disaster may not be strictly true or a more positive or negative spin may be put on it than is really the case (Falseness, Letter, Misfortune). Ahead, the actions of the woman concerned and those serving her, will bring despair (Service, Foe, Despair).
Upset over the news and wishes failing to be fulfilled will leave someone desperate (Consolation R, Letter, Despair), and there’ll be news of the thoughts of those in service positions, so perhaps people getting their word in, or PR individuals trying to clear up the mess (Service, Letter, Thought). The biggest disappointments lie over the woman and the disaster she’s wrought (Consolation R, Foe, Misfortune), and the major upsets over the falsehoods, frauds and losses (Falsenesss, Thief)
As if we didn’t have enough chickens coming home to roost for enough wrongdoers at the moment, we now had ex First Minister of Scotland Nicola Sturgeon arrested by Police Scotland yesterday as part of their SNP fraud investigation, although she’s now been released without charge. I did wonder if this reading was referring to that situation, but of course, there are quite a few to choose from. Let’s see what comes up in the week.
News of the disappointments of a serving person whose dreams or hopes have been dashed and whose thoughts have turned to despair. There’s been fraud or falsehoods and losses connected with a particular woman viewed as an enemy and disaster has ensued. There’s great disappointment or hopelessness over the loss or falseness involved. News of the woman’s fraudulent behaviour is likely to bring expression of open disappointment, which may not be entirely honest, by someone in a subordinate or serving position, possibly in the press. At root, and perhaps hidden, there are truly desperate thoughts over the disaster that’s occurred. What’s written about it all may not be strictly true, however.
