Well, it’s certainly been an eventful July, with landslide elections, expected and unexpected results, attempted assassinations, embarrassing gaffes and a sitting President being forced to give up a bid for another term.
Interesting. I thought you would suggest Trump/Vance. Vance is a more attractive candidate than Trump in all kinds of ways, not that it would take much. If Trump gets the feeling that Vance is getting too much attention, there will surely be trouble.
You may be right, and I considered it, but I didn't feel Vance really fit here. He's younger, but I don't think he really has had quite the lucky victory or been "blessed" in the same way Starmer has here that's based in people and supporters wanting change, and I think Vance was quite controversial from the off. Agree that if he gets too much attention, though, it is not going to go down at well with Trump!
