Coming Up For August I: Two Men, One Undermining the Other's Positive Fresh Start, With Power, Force, Complications & An Ending
Well, it’s certainly been an eventful July, with landslide elections, expected and unexpected results, attempted assassinations, embarrassing gaffes and a sitting President being forced to give up a bid for another term. Not to mention things getting even worse in the Middle East.
So what do the cards suggest is in store for us in August?
Today, I’m using a different Lenormand deck, the Blue Bird Lenormand which, as you’ll see from today’s spread, has extra versions of the people cards.
And the spread is the Witch’s Tableau. Remind yourself of how to lay and read it here:
Let’s take a look.
The Cards
Stars, Anchor, Mice Garden; Gentleman 1, Flowers/Bouquet, Gentleman 2, Bear; Crossroads, Clover, Snake, Cross; Dog, Storks, Clouds, Coffin
The Reading
Starting with the quadrants, the cards tell us there’s recently been a sense of ambition and hopes and plans for more stability (Stars, Anchor) that appears to involve a pleasant or attractive man (Gentleman 1, Bouquet) or where he has been rewarded. He’s ambitious and has big ideas, and there’s a sense of stability and steadiness, or he is blessed with giving that impression.
Under the surface, it does appear his path was strewn with luck here (Crossroads, Clover) and there was underlying support for change or a fresh start (Dog, Storks). There was a choice of who to support, and the idea of change had fortune running with it, it was an opportunity for a fresh start and the choice was made.
What’s ahead, though, appears to be some kind of undermining or material loss with or involving people, the public, the wider world, even (Mice, Garden), and there seems to be another, more powerful, forceful, or even wealthy older man looking beyond the pleasantries to the first Gentleman (Gentleman 2, Bear).
What’s lurking under the surface here is a lot more unpleasant; we have four highly negative cards. We have the Snake, showing trouble and complications brewing and that there’s a burden or pressure associated with them, a kind of test or a sacrifice (Cross). We also have darkness and murkiness around an ending or death (Clouds, Coffin). Problems may cause gloom, and an ending is burdened or heavy. A complicated ending and a kind of heavy cloud, or pall.
It seems to me that the second Gentleman is either deliberately or inadvertently going to undermine the positivity and stability of the first. You can see the Mice influencing the Anchor, and the Snake spoiling the Clover.
If we read the rows across, we get our dreams and plans for stability undermined or nibbled away at in public, by people or the wider world (Stars, Anchor, Mice, Garden).
Next, we have our two Gentlemen with the Bouquet between them; either there is current accord and pleasantries or one is observing the pleasantries of the other, and there appears to be domination and power in the equation (Bear). Next, you have lucky choices or positive paths then running into trouble and a major crisis (Cross). And the support for change, a fresh start (Dog, Storks) appears to be marred by murk, darkness and an ending (Clouds, Coffin).
If you read the cards vertically, we start with an ambitious younger man with dreams and plans and choices that are supported (Stars, Gentleman I, Crossroads, Dog). A sense of hope, stability bringing positivity, luck and a new beginning, change (Anchor, Bouquet, Clover, Storks).
But then there is undermining or loss involving a second, likely older Gentleman where there’ll be major underlying problems and complications which will cause gloom, negativity, darkness (Mice, Gentleman II, Snake, Clouds).
In the last column, we have people or the public, the wider world, strength, force and power (Garden, Bear), underlying which is a test, sacrifice or burden, and an ending or death (Cross, Coffin).
Pairing the cards corner to corner onwards gives us:
Hopes and dreams ending, and stability on shaky ground, built on sand (Stars, Coffin, Anchor, Clouds), a new start lost or undermined (Mice, Storks) and public or worldwide friendships or support (Garden, Dog).
One man’s test or burden (Gentleman I, Cross), but complications may be covered up by pleasantries, the superficial or gifts (Bouquet, Snake), and an older man takes his opportunity (Gentleman II, Clover) on the road to power (Bear, Crossroads).
In more depth, the ambitious man is confronted with a test, a burden or a sacrificial ending (Stars, Gentleman I, Cross, Coffin). Stability and positivity need to face complications, darkness and murk (Anchor, Flowers, Snake Clouds). An undermining older man gets a chance for a fresh start (Mice, Gentleman 2, Clover, Storks), and people or world power and strength (Garden, Bear) bring a road or choice to friends, allies and supporters (Crossroads, Dog).

So we have are going to see those dreams and plans for stability undermined or nibbled away at in public, by people or the wider world.

Hopes and dreams are ending, and stability on shaky ground, built on sand, a new start lost will be lost or undermined, and public or worldwide friendships or support come into play.

Is this something to do with Starmer/Putin (there is history there from the time Starmer was the UK’s Director of Public Prosecutions) or Starmer/Trump, which would also fit pretty well? This month, though, for that? Hmm. We will see.
Interesting. I thought you would suggest Trump/Vance. Vance is a more attractive candidate than Trump in all kinds of ways, not that it would take much. If Trump gets the feeling that Vance is getting too much attention, there will surely be trouble.
