Thought it would be good to start answering specific questions as well as just “What’s Coming Up Today In The News?” type things. So if you have any “news” questions you’d like me to explore with cards, please do let me know in the comments!
So today I thought I’d ask a question about Harry (it looked as though yesterday’s reading might have been about him) and what is likely to happen with regard to his upcoming tell-all book.
I pulled a 9-Card with the Kipper, Ciro Marchetti’s Fin de Siecle Kipper Deck. This deck includes three additional cards, Community, Toil & Labour, and Poverty.
Again, this can just be read like any other 9-Card spread. So here’s what came up. What happens as a result of the book, or what’s “IN” the book? It seems like more the latter to me.
Main Female: A main woman at the centre of things, so could well be Meghan.
Official Person: A military or official individual, here, probably King Charles, but it could be the uniformed Harry.
Mature Woman: An older woman, here, possibly Camilla or the late Queen, but could be anyone older eg Oprah, Dora…
Courtship/Meeting: Other people, meeting others, “courting” others. Dating.
Community: One of the extra cards, here, that would refer to people in general, the wider public, but crucially, “your people”.
Family Room: Private home, private life, intimacy, privacy.
Thoughts: Any thought, thinking, what is being thought about.
Child: A child or young person.
So, there is a Woman at the centre of the reading, presumably Meghan.
In the diamond around her, we see her trying to “court” or meet with an older woman or women (Courtship/Meeting, Older Woman) in the community sense (Community), so looking for “her people”, and is thinking about who her people, her crowd, are, her thoughts about the community(Thoughts, Community).
Around her, we see an older woman (Mature Woman/Good Lady) behind her, and it could involve what that woman thinks of her or what they think of each other.
Above her, there’s her private or family life (Family Room) and relationship (Courtship) with an “official person” (Official/Military Person). This looks to me like it would be the private relationship with Harry and their dating relationship, the “courting” the private him. The “Thoughts” card also points to her thinking specifically about that courtship, or what she thought about it.
Underneath, for less conscious factors, would be the more official public House, the face of the family, their children and their “people” (House-Community-Child).
A recent past involving the House of the Official Person and Older Woman, so that could well be the Queen and the royal family and Harry’s part in it (Official Person, Mature Woman, House), followed by trying to find “her people” (Courtship, Woman, Community), and then what looks like her private thoughts about the life of the family for its children (Family Room, Thoughts, Child) or her own wishes for her own children.
Diagonally, the cards show the official man, her and children, as well as their private life at home (Family Room, Woman, House).
Knighting the cards, we get the Official Person and his Thoughts and “people” (Community) so friends, family, those around him.
The Older Woman (Queen?) and her private life with her children (Family Room-Child).
The House (House of Windsor) and meeting them (Courtship) and her Thoughts about that.
Her meeting in particular, with the younger people or the children of that family (Courtship, House-Child).
The ‘community’ or people surrounding him in his private life (Community, Official Person, Family Room).
The private life of the Queen and the people around her (Family Room, Older Woman, Community).
Her thoughts on the Official Person and the House of Windsor (Thoughts, Official Person-House).
And finally, children, her meeting with the Queen’s children, or how the children related to the Queen (Child, Older Woman, Courtship).
So not all that surprising or revelatory, really, but we will see!
The answer to this question appears to be a focus on Meghan, and her thoughts on the royal family and its personal relationships and flunkies, the Queen and her relationships with her children, Harry and Meghan’s “people” or crowd, and thoughts on their dating relationship.
