This Week’s Readings Update
Aside from the first reading, a week of powerful, but not entirely honest-with-themselves men in the news, and even the first reading could well refer to similar situations. Cards representing Falsehoods, so lies and deceptions, appeared in four out of five of the separate readings this week, across different decks. Curious, and a sad indictment of our times that there are so many potential situations to choose from of deceptions and lies being revealed about powerful people in public life.
This Week: A Woman's Theft & Fraudulent Behaviour & News, Perhaps False, Of Disappointment Over Disaster
News of the disappointments of a serving person whose dreams or hopes have been dashed and whose thoughts have turned to despair. There’s been fraud or falsehoods and losses connected with a particular woman viewed as an enemy and disaster has ensued. There’s great disappointment or hopelessness over the loss or falseness involved. News of the woman’s fraudulent behaviour is likely to bring expression of open disappointment, which may not be entirely honest, by someone in a subordinate or serving position, possibly in the press. At root, and perhaps hidden, there are truly desperate thoughts over the disaster that’s occurred. What’s written about it all may not be strictly true, however.
Who was the woman in question? It could be ex FM Nicola Sturgeon, still under investigation for fraud, having been arrested and later released by Police Scotland and certainly representing an ongoing disaster for the political party concerned, with vocal critics from within (“serving person”) and outside it. There is, of course, Labour’s Harriet Harman, chair of the (mainly Conservative) committee which later in the week produced its damning report on Boris Johnson and the likely target of much of his ire and blame, although it is mainly him who views her as the ‘fraudulent’ one in this case. She has, however long been a useful target of the right wing press. Either way, it seems that what is written in the press about the woman concerned may not be strictly true, and should be taken with a large pinch of salt.
Tuesday: Senior Protective Figure Rewarded In The Past Now Trapped By Sense Of Lack, Yearning For Future Gifts That May Never Come
A “kindly” senior protective or governmental figure is someone who has up until now been on a journey to success and is likely to have been rewarded with a senior role and his achievements recognised in some way. However, he is now missing something or someone, is feeling very empty, and highly conscious of a lack in his life, and unaware, it seems, that he is locked into a trap , one that is possibly of his own making. He continues to anticipate or yearn for further rewards and ‘gifts’ to come to him in the future and may not realise his time and rewards have been and gone.
This one suggested Biden to me (although see later in the week for other individuals that a similar energy applies to, and who also see themselves as benign figures, which pretty much excludes it being Trump). Either way, this is someone who may be failing to acknowledge that their time in the sun is probably up, either due to age and health issues, or a falling away in public support.
Wednesday: Older, Senior Man In Despair Over A Court Case & Money, But Having To Keep Up The Persona For The Sake Of His Role
An older or senior man has been having thoughts of despair for a long time, feeling there’s something wrong or false in the work he does or role he has to play. He appears to be currently undergoing a legal process or is involved in legislation or a court case. Money matters feature in particular in this legal process, and how they will impact his “house”, his family and good name, perhaps also business. He suspects it is all going to drag on interminably, and it has much to do with what looks like his former occupation. Someone may be pulling his strings, he’s unlikely to feel like his own man at present, and his upset is likely to continue over that.
My general feeling was that this followed on from the previous day’s reading and referred to Joe Biden (although it has strong elements of certain other individuals, as you’ll see from later in the week). While Trump, of course, continues angrily railing against what he calls the “witch-hunt” of his indictment, the energy of this reading appeared to be far less aggressive than that and from someone who considers himself a more benign figure.
Thursday: News Of A Man's Deceptions, & Swift Change To Plans & Ambitions
Today’s reading concerns a man who is being deceptive, and there will be news or something written about his options or routes being unclear. A swift decision and change is likely to be made and written about, making a change in his plans and ambitions. He is currently keeping his plans close to his chest, along with the route he proposes to take to achieve them. It represents perhaps new avenues explored, but any murkiness or lack of clarity will be swiftly cut through, bringing news of his goals and vision ahead.
I had assumed this was about the same man as earlier in the week, but given the release of the Partygate report on this day, and the focus on deceptions, and the aftermath of it, I think it’s more likely to be Johnson (see below).
Friday: Man In Mourning After Lies, Enemies In The House & Recent Losses
A man in mourning for what he’s recently lost. On his mind is the House, driven, as he sees it, by enemy forces. There are lies and falsehoods in his past, that he may see as small and that he’s got away with, but it is likely there are deeper subterfuges and losses at play here. There could be unexpected joy for him ahead, but the positivity may be short lived, as there’ll be news of an ending. Underneath it all could be some dark energies about taking what you can, enemies and death, until the bitter end, suggesting lifelong enemies and resentments that never go away.
This, I felt, was likely to be ex-PM Boris Johnson, who resigned from Parliament and as an MP on sight of the damning Partygate report, finally released this week, on lies to the House, and which would have recommended a 90-day suspension. He has not taken this at all well, bitterly claiming kangaroo courts and conspiracy, but has instantaneously been taken on as a columnist by the pro-Johnson Daily Mail where he can doubtless continue to rail publicly against his successor and those mainly ‘enemies’ on the committee. This “Letter” is perhaps the “unexpected joy” for the man who’s a journalist by profession, but will it last?
