Weekly Roundup: Mixed Bag, Smaller Stories & Something Bigger Brewing
Week ending 13th/14th April 2024
So, how did the cards do this week? We had readings from the Russian Gypsy Fortune Telling Cards, Sibylle des Salons, Piatnik’s Traditional Zigeuner (“Gypsy” or Bohemian) Fortune Telling Cards, the traditional German Kipperkarten and an outing for the “Gypsy Witch” Fortune Telling Playing Cards, which are a US derivative of the Lenormand.
Don’t forget, there are dedicated sections for all the main decks I use here on the Daily Oracle website, with all pages & posts accessible to subscribers for the lifetime of your subscriptions. For instance, check these two out:
Several useful layouts this week also, including the following, one which is a great “general” reading for ANY kind of question, and the other for exploring partnerships of all kinds.
The Readings & The News
Hmm. A bit of a mixed bag . Do I think the week was as eventful as the cards suggested, news-wise? Not really, no, although the week started with a solar eclipse, and there were lots of “smaller” but random bits of news. It mostly felt like a pretty quiet week, more with a sense of “something” much, much bigger brewing, I feel, not least the looming threat of an Iranian attack on Israel, which Joe Biden has been warning about this week.
Meanwhile, a horrific knife attack on multiple people from a lone attacker has been reported today at a Sydney shopping mall. The release of the Cass review into UK gender services has caused consternation (given its highlighting of the extremely weak evidence base for medical intervention). OJ Simpson has died, reviving the story of his infamous non-conviction for the murder of his ex-wife and her friend.
And lots of fuss in the UK press about Labour deputy leader Angela Rayner and what feels like something of a whipped-up and perhaps vengeful story about the legality/tax status of profits she made from a house sale before she became an MP. The police are now investigating whether she was guilty of any wrongdoing, and she’s said she’ll stand down if so. I do wonder if Wednesday’s reading, not to mention some of the “regrets” (she’s not been backward about coming forward with comments on similar shenanigans from Tories) could be about her, but otherwise, jury’s out for me. I’m not really seeing those come to fruition yet.
Anyway, here were the readings and summaries. Click on the titles to see the full post.
This Week: Random Unpleasant Events, A Warning That "Fun" Can Lead To Regret, & Long-Awaited News Delivers
This suggests it’s going be an odd old week in the news this week, with lots of small and randomly unpleasant occurrences happening, which will likely be things no-one can do anything about. Certainly some unpleasantness to which we will all, or just a particular person in the news will be subjected, creating a stressful situation. There’s a big warning here not to do stupid things for fun, as too much unrestrained “fun” or merriment will lead to grief and regret. Long-awaited or expected news is likely to arrive this week. Someone has made a lot of money due to their efforts, which are rewarded with financial gains. But ultimately, the happiness and success of certain people will turn out to depend on the decisions made; karma will be calling. And it looks like certain circumstances will force someone down an undesirable path…
The overall message is that playing things cautiously will bring more success. Yes, something has been lost but it will be found again or restored. At the same time, someone is going to be making big money out of what’s happening this week. And there’s a warning about jumping from the frying pan into the fire. A lot of “heat” this week, with flames and passions enveloping hearts. It might prove a turning point in some ways.
What about the rest of the week? Let’s take a look.
