Weekly Roundup: Goodbye to Bohemian Cards, Hello Again To Lenormand Cards & October Month Ahead
Week ending 5th October 2025
So how did our cards do this week?
We had a mix of oracle decks, finishing the month of September with a Bohemian card reading from the Piatnik cards. You can check that reading out below, PLUS get hold of a downloadable version of the detailed card meanings for this classic oracle deck here:
Meanwhile, into a new month already, we turned our attention back to another classic oracle system: the Lenormand. Here’s a quick rundown of its card meanings PLUS those in various decks which include extra cards and extra meanings. This has now been updated to include not only the Gilded Reverie, the Rana George and the Celtic Lenormand extras, but also those from the Maybe Lenormand… which are almost identical to those additional cards which appear in the US Gypsy Witch deck, which was always clearly derived from Lenormand, or at least the same sources. You can check out ALL those card meanings here.
A reminder also of another useful “tableau-style” spread, the past, present and future of the “Three Faces of Time”.
So what DID our last Bohemian cards have to say about the week ahead? And what were the indications they were correct?
Here’s that spread and interpretation again.
A Surprise On Its Way This Week: Bohemian Cards Give A Past, Present, Future Reading
First of all, we can see that there’s a BIG surprise apparently on the way that’s at the heart of this reading, although I wouldn’t be sure it’s going to be joyful.
It appears to involve a situation of loyalty or affiliation, perhaps, that comes as an enormous surprise to “those at home”, so to a household, a domestic sphere, a particular family or the homeland. Something here is likely to be unearthed this week.
There does appear to be a religious, spiritual or godly background to this; you have the priest and the all-seeing eye or a sense of moral certainty that’s been overseeing a particular place, a family or a homeland, bringing luck to her, a woman, or female-named figure.
But now, there is jealousy, the envy of an older or senior man, which will bring a surprise- and it appears to be a disastrous one, where everything comes crashing down and is lost or stolen away.
Ahead? Well, after that, we have thoughts of love and passion and a passionate loyalty to a bond or relationship that is cemented but mostly into death or an ending. Something ends. Something - or someone - dies. And there’s an intensity to this, as if it’s all about the ‘belief’ or the thoughts of intense loyalty involved,
We seem to have a big ending or death domestically or close to home and the “loyal” destruction of a female figure.
Once again, we have a senior man and a moral or spiritual figure together (interesting as they showed up with the different deck yesterday and all through last week) and you have loyalty showing between them this time. The senior man will be thinking about matters close to home.
There appear to be thoughts of jealousy involving the “moral” or spiritual leader figure with the love of an older man apparently all-encompassing, or ever-watched. Then we have our surprise loyalty on the home front, plus a wedding to destruction that brings an opportunity or chance situation, perhaps bad rather than good luck since that’s being poured away. And then there’s a death or ending and the theft from a female figure.
The ending or death involves the moral or priest figure and a kind of “bond to all things” that includes loyalty to what is close to home ). A love opportunity may be discarded and there are thoughts or beliefs at work regarding a female figure. Meanwhile, envy involves stealing something away and bringing destruction or disaster for a senior male figure which, we learn, will come as a surprise.
Well, an Islamist terrorist attacking a Manchester mosque and two worshippers getting killed was the kind of “surprise” the cards suggested we might see this week, so as I said, the surprise didn’t have to be a good one. Polarisation with each side convinced they’re “the goodies” while the other are “the baddies” also continues apace.
As for unearthings, in the UK we’ve had some very unedifying stories coming out of a BBC undercover investigation at the Met Police. Deal-wise, we have Trumps’ prospective “Gaza deal” doing surprisingly better than expected (but we will see what actually pans out in the end).
But envy and the surprise that was alleged to appear over that, I’m not sure.. But then I’m not much surprised by most of the things going on in the political and social arenas right now, so….
Then we switched to the Lenormand cards for the October month ahead, the result of which was as follows:
