Weekly Roundup: Broken Promises, New Starts Not Quite Off The Ground, But A Few Unidentified Mystery Figures
Week ending 31st August 2024
Alright then! Decks used in this week’s readings included the Sibilla della Zingara (Gypsy Oracle Cards), the Sibilla Indovina, Kipper cards and the Traditional “Bohemian” Cards also, so mostly sibilla-type decks, pointing to lots of events and people. Check out my comparison of different decks and the kinds of readings they output here:
I’m doing a lot of political readings of late, given it’s election season, so just a reminder that I have a dedicated page for Political and Event readings so you can look back on any previous predictions if you wish. The page currently only shows Political & event readings from June 2024 onwards but I’ll probably update this page this weekend with some of the older posts. That way, we can look back a little further if we want to see how accurate or not the cards were! Take a look at the page here:
In terms of spreads, we had the Mystic 7s, an extended 9-Card Spread, a 7-Card bridging spread and a classic Crescent layout this week. This post (and the Spreads & Layouts page) will remind you what kinds of spreads are best for which purpose, and will take you through to detailed instructions for each, so do click on the link to that post if want to do your own but are unsure which to pick.
Which Spread Should I Use For The Reading I Want To Do?
Meanwhile, let’s explore the week’s readings.
This Week’s Readings
A reminder that there was no Tuesday reading due to technical issues my end. Nonetheless, some quite interesting stuff, though heavily weighted towards UK politics, especially the doom-laden messaging coming from Keir n’ Rachel regarding the UK government’s upcoming budget and the need for it to be “painful”, with big disgruntlement in some quarters (both within Labour and outside of it) that this represents broken promises and is kind of murky since it’s quite unlikely it’s “the big surprise” claimed. Who knows. That said, some themes are repeating across the pond, especially similar hints of “broken promises” which Kamala was getting some flak on with her first unscripted TV interview this week, and then of course, there’s Trump looking like he’s building up to wriggle out of the TV debate due on 10th Sept.
So we had a general reading first, and then several more focused ones. How did they do?
This Week: A Time of Instability & Uncertainty, a Broken Deal or Marriage, But Senior Man Has A Positive Surprise To Do With Money
So at the core of the news we’ll be hearing, apparently, is a sickness, something wrong or dysfunctional regarding consolations and rewards coming consistently or offering stability. It appears there’s been a celebration or good cheer, but what has begun will not get off the ground, so it could have been premature. A young woman will be sick or there will be something wrong there, and although she’ll be offered help and support it’ll be false or insincere, which will cause sorrow.
Next, there’s news of money held privately by an older or senior man, so it could be something about someone with a lot of private wealth. There’s consolation and rewards there, and perhaps a nice surprise and help and assistance offered, although it may arrive too late.
Next, there’s some sort of healing but alas, an agreement or deal is broken, perhaps a marriage breakup, as it is connected with romance and love. There appears to be a consistent longing for something that can never be and hopes will be shattered.
There’s a celebration over money that represents healing or things improving but something that was expected privately will not get off the ground as a deal or marriage is broken. There appears to be a younger woman with an older man and a love affair or passions, but the main news, as we’ve said, will be of something wrong or dysfunctional in terms of consolations and certainty. So things will not be running at all smoothly. There’s a friend or supporter, supposedly offering a surprise but there’s yearning and longing involved for something that can never be, and it seems that their offer of assistance is entirely false, or gives false hope. Great sadness ensues in the face of either bad news or news that is delayed regarding a major disaster.
Someone is celebrating a downfall, it seems, or at least is keeping cheerful in the face of one, while a hoped-for new project fails to get off the ground. A young woman is in a state of unfulfilment or longing for something that can never be, and there is a sickness and dysfunction that never seems to go away, or there is never a sense of consistency. A friend seemingly offers support and succour, love and care, but it’s false and brings the breakup of a deal or a marriage, So broken promises abound. The sorrow caused needs healing, so someone or something may come along to do that.
There’s news about money that is negative or delayed, and while there’s help offered privately, an older man has a surprise, or makes a surprise discovery. This brings surprisingly consoling news, it seems, a sign that all hope should not be lost after all.
I am not sure who “the young woman” is here, but there certainly have been elements of both broken promises after joyful celebrations and new things not quite getting off the ground in the way promised, and this represents both UK and US politics at the moment. Surprise money held by a senior man though? Not sure about this. I mean, it could relate to the Keir budget situation, but I think the likelihood of him turning up a nice and consoling surprise is fairly slim given the doom and gloom messaging so far. The ‘surprise’ is supposedly that there isn’t any money so they can’t keep their pre-election promises, not that some will —ta-daa!—miraculously be found. Worth looking back, though, at the Kipper spread I did for them just after July’s election, as a lot of that stuff came up:
Massive Win For Labour: What Do The Kipper Cards Suggest Is Next?
As for the rest of this reading though, it seemed to be more about actual romances and marriage breakups, and I’ve no idea who the “young woman” is. There’s the usual stuff ongoing about Meghan and Harry will they won’t they blah blah which a lot of fortune tellers seem overly fixated on, there’s Bennifer undergoing a divorce, of course, but otherwise, I’m a bit stumped by a lot of this still. So for me, the jury’s out on this reading so far, though I may have missed something.
Next, we looked at marriages and deals breaking, but again, involving lots of people. Read on to find out that and the rest of the week. You can see the original posts by clicking on the titles.
