Weekly Roundup: Putin Making Deals in N Korea, Dysfunction For One Man, Anger For Another, and Rishi Embarrassed By The Gambling Aides
Week ending 22/23 June 2024
So I left til today to send this, lest anything exciting happen yesterday (it didn’t). But what did we use this week, spreads-wise, and how well have the cards done, or not?
Layouts this week included the general predictive “Three Faces of Time” and the Mystic 7s again, as well as the traditional 9-Card Box Spread, You can check them all out as well as all other “how to” and card meanings pages for ALL the decks we use here that are available for subscribers on the Resources Page. Meanwhile, what was going on in the news? Well, Kate finally reappeared for Trooping of the Colour last weekend; while, talking of State Occasions, Vladimir Putin surfaced on official visits to new pal Kim Jong Un in North Korea, also dropping in on Vietnam. China is unlikely to be best pleased with these developments. Not to be outdone on the “best buds with Vlad” front, Reform leader Nigel Farage has decided to cause yet more hoo-ha by saying the West and not Putin were to blame for Ukraine, while the murky tales of insider betting from inside Conservative HQ got larger and ever more embarrassing for Rishi Sunak. More election blah, obviously, with various televised debates, with Labour predicted by polls to get a “supermajority”. My American readers will be “enjoying” their own Presidential TV debate (or hiding behind their fingers) later this week. Netanyahu reiterated he wanted to finish Hamas, even while his spokesman denied that would be possible since it was “an ideology”. And meanwhile, veteran actor Donald Sutherland died, Noam Chomsky was reported dead then turned out not to be dead after all, and England continued its lacklustre football performance at the European Championships in Paris.
So just another week then. How did the cards do?
Let’s start with Monday’s for the week.
This Week: Regrets Over A Deal Or Marriage, While Explosive Anger, Religious Fervour and Unhealthy Passions Ensue
The cards suggest that this week, we’ll be seeing a marriage, commitment or deal, or something connected with it. There appears to be a sense of mourning and looking back in grief too, possibly from an older male figure and a judgement or ruling connected with that, so it could suggest someone looking back in regret at a political commitment or law that has been made or their role in that.
Recently, there seems to have been progress towards anger with regard to legal judgements, politicians and laws, leading to a sense of yearning or a burning desire for something as yet unfulfilled in a house, domestic arena or family. Perhaps a desire for change, which may not be forthcoming. Something big is brewing here, the cards suggest.
The current situation involves spirituality or religion and love or passion, it seems, particularly with regard to a marriage or commitment, so either an actual marriage presided over by a priest, or a kind of passionate spiritual or religious commitment. Something is being lost or stolen here as a result, however, either from or by a particular male figure.
Ahead, the cards suggest the hope of money or a better financial or higher value picture, but that there will be grieving and regret, particularly from an older or senior male figure as disaster and serious dysfunction or illness ensues. Someone will come to regret the mistakes they have made, it seems, with regard to a marriage, agreements or laws.
There is a suggestion of spiritual or religious hopes moving forward while the love of money brings anger or angry outbursts and regret over legal deals, laws or arrangements from senior figures. Disaster ensues when something is lost or stolen domestically and a male figure appears to have an unhealthy yearning for something unlikely to be fulfilled.
The malady or sickness is progressing, galloping along, which will end in fury or disaster, something rather explosive and vengeful, while there’s regret and judgement for a senior lawmaker connected with a wealthy house or institution. There appear also to be burning wishes and desires, with hope perhaps thwarted, being unfulfilled and thus starting to darken. There’s something to do with spirituality or religion too, connected with a young man or men and a love and passion that’s associated with loss and taking something to do with a marriage, deal or commitment.
Well, we did a see a commitment or deal. It was a “mutual support” pact between Putin and Kim Jong-un, and came up later in the week—quite significant, both in regional terms and globally. The deal has been put in writing as Wednesday’s reading stated. Furthermore, Putin has promised to arm North Korea if the West keep supplying arms to Ukraine. Lots to concern everyone with that. But it’s hard to see exactly who the “regretful older man” might be, unless it’s Biden. And I don’t think the “serious dysfunction or illness” has played out quite yet, nor the regret over mistakes made. Similarly, anger at senior figures’ rulings, wealth and deals, and desperation for change can be seen everywhere in all sorts of contexts: when it blows, it will be explosive, the cards suggest. So a lot of this atmosphere still to play out.
What about the rest of the week?
