Tuesday: When Institutions Go Bad! What Do Oracle Cards Suggest Can Be Done?
Tuesday 30th January 2024
Today’s spread, the Star Spread, is a very simple but usually surprisingly revealing one designed to suggest a solution to a problem. As such, it can be highly useful when applied to personal issues.
You can check out how to lay and read it here:
And today, we’ll be using the Sibilla Indovina (a version of the Sibylle des Salons) to see how it works, not for a personal issue, but when applied to a wider one, in this case, the problem of dysfunctional, or “upside down” or crumbling institutions.
No, I’m not talking about Royals ( I’m sure I could!) but in the more general sense. I’m talking corporates, charities, national institutions, and the point at which dysfunction starts to creep in, and original purposes are lost. (A sadly common problem, and one that occurs through history. Such is the nature of power and bureaucracy, I guess.) And it’s come up a number of times now, both in my readings and in the news of late (the UK Post Office Horizon scandal being just one of many examples including charities, other national and international bodies) so I wanted to explore institutions suffering from this “Weakness” or “Maladie” at the same time.
I’ve used the reversed City House from the deck to represent an institution turned on its head, and the reversed Weakness or “Maladie” card to represent the healing of the problem, i.e. the desired outcome. This is a great trick to use with this spread; always put your desired outcome in the “Outcome” position of a spread like this, so you ensure the cards give you the pathway towards that.
Here’s how the spread came out:
The Cards
City House (R), Protector, Loss of Money, Victory, Important Revelation, Weakness (R), with underlying energy of Pensioner/Pension Holder

And now, let’s turn to the reading and what it’s telling us.
