The Reading
At the centre of the reading is Falseness, lies, deception, something not as it appears. But about what? If we look at the cards in the diamond around it, we have a business person or success in business (Merchant), where there is sadness, bad news and loss (Sorrow), and a business House of some kind. So perhaps a particular company or a family business. And there’s a Surprise with regard to this, something unexpected. Perhaps the unexpected failure of a particular business or brand, with the Falseness being something that was being hidden or a better front put up than was actually the case.
Either side of the Falseness at the centre, we have again the House and sadness or bad news (Sorrow). So perhaps the reality saddens those associated with the House, or perhaps some are not quite as upset as they appear. Above this, we have perhaps some kind of ethical issue with the business, or someone considering their values (Thought-Merchant-Priest)—or at least that is what is being presented. Under the surface, we have what looks like the final death of trust or loyalty (Faithfulness-Death), which comes as a surprise (Surprise).
The thoughts are of sadness with regard to loyalty (Thought-Sorrow-Faithfulness); perhaps someone feels they have no choice but to make a stand. The business falseness and deception is likely to come as a surprise (Merchant-Falseness-Surprise), and it could even involve fraud, and it looks as though the ethics and morality of this particular organisation or family will die a death (Priest-House-Death) or there is some issue of spirituality here, perhaps a religious connection.
Diagonally, the thinking is about a death or ending connected with the deception or fraud (Thought-Falseness-Death), and the ethics or morality of staying loyal around it (Priest-Falseness-Faithfulness).
It certainly appears to be something that is likely to come as a shock with regard to this House (Thought, House, Surprise), along with sadness around what seems to be the death of values or ethics (Sorrow, Priest-Death). In terms of loyalty, there seems to be what looks like a brand loyalty for the business or house (Faithfulness, Merchant, House). But it’s likely the business side of things will see an end to that (Merchant, Faithfulness-Death).
The biggest surprise for people will be having to think about it in ethical terms (Surprise, Thought-Priest). As for ethics and values, there will be sadness at what’s seen as the end of them, a mourning or grief over it, perhaps (Priest, Sorrow-Death). It looks as though this House, whatever or whoever it is, is thought of as reliable, and has been trusted (House, Thought-Faithfulness). It signals the fall or end of whatever business they were in and great sadness over that (Death, Business, Sorrow).
Lies, a deception, something not as it appears with a business. An unexpected sorrow or loss for this House, family business or organisation. It’s likely to be presented as an ethical or values issue for the business, but underneath, there seems to have been a surprise ending with regard to trust or loyalty. There’s sadness over loyalty; perhaps someone feels they don’t have a choice but to make a stand. The deception or fraud is likely to come as a surprise and the morality or ethics of the issue may will bring the family or organisation down. Someone, maybe many people, will be thinking about an ending in relation to the falsehoods, and the ethics of those who stay loyal around it.
The falsehood or deception is likely to come as a shock, as well as sadness around what’s seen as the ending of morality or values. Although there’s likely to have been a lot of “brand loyalty”, we could see an end to that, and a degree of grief over the values lost. This house or organisation has previously been thought of reliable and trustworthy, and there’s great sadness over the loss of that.
So not exactly a love-filled reading for Valentine’s Day, but seems pretty juicy and looks as though there’s drama to come.
