Thursday: NATO Summit, Do The Cards Have Anything To Say? Two Four-Corner Readings With Different Decks
Thursday 11th July 2024
Today, I’ve got TWO readings with two different decks to give an overview of the NATO summit, currently ongoing.
The spread I’m using in both is the “Four Corners” layout. This is a traditional positional layout originally for the Sibylle des Salons/Indovina, where cards are analysed according to each playing card suit category. It’s a simple general reading that gives an overview of four different “Life Areas”, which can be applied to different situations. You can find the instructions for the classic layout here:
You can also use it with other decks, as long as you remember that the overall “categories” of playing cards may have slightly different meanings for each. Ideally, this needs to be taken into account when you lay them, but you can adapt to your own needs as necessary.
Here, I’m going to be using this spread with both the French Sibylle des Salons AND the Vera Sibilla, to see what we can glean from each.
The four main positional categories I’m using for the Sibylle des Salons are:
“Diamonds” position (top left): Financial Factors
“Spades” position (bottom left): Health & Wellbeing
“Clubs” position (bottom right): Day-To-Day Workings
“Hearts” position (top right): Relationships Between People
Here is today’s layout (bit overly spread out today, sorry!)
And the four for the Vera Sibilla are:
“Diamonds” position (top left): Events, Fate & Communications
“Spades” position (bottom left): Problems & Negatives
“Clubs” position (bottom right): Luck & Achievements
“Hearts” position (top right): Relationships Between People
And here is the layout for this one:
