What About Multiples?

As per my previous comments, it’s hard to find definitive or universal additional “meanings” for multiples: most lists you’ll find of them relate to one traditional set of playing card meanings or another, but rarely say which.

Multiples of two and four tend to be more “harmonious” or at least “square” things, and multiples of three tend to involve more discord and disruption. Two of something implies two forces, collaboration and direct opposition, whereas four implies intensification.

The “multiples” listed below are therefore my personal suggestions only, and should not be taken as definitive, but it’s worth pointing out that Vera Sibilla number multiples tend to be more akin to Tarot multiples than other oracle decks, as both decks originated in Italy and a lot of the meanings are similar.

Looking At Playing Card Numbers

Do each group of numbers tend to represent similar ‘stages’ on the journey within this particular deck’s interpretations? I think that more or less they do. Let’s look more closely.

And a reminder, that for the sake of curiosity and usefulness only, I have included both the Grand Etteilla and Rider Waite Tarot equivalent meanings for reference, so you can see where the similarities (but please note, MANY differences) lie. Hopefully, you will be able to see the connections in a lot of cases.

So let’s take a look at the sevens all the way through to the Kings!
