Playing Card Numbers In The Vera Sibilla Part I
What can we glean from the playing card numbers?
Following on from looking at the four playing card suits in my previous posts, now it’s time to explore the playing card numbers, and if there’s any significance to them.
If you’ve not already, do check out my previous posts on the playing card references and suits here:
So What About The Numbers, Then?
There’s quite a lot to write about with this topic, and as a result, I’m going to have to split my posts into three different sections; two on the meanings of numbers, and one to look practically at what they might add to a reading.
Before we start, also, I would like to point out that NOT every Vera Sibilla reader believes the playing card numbers or multiples in this deck have huge importance. For example, veteran Vera Sibilla teacher Etienne Valencourt, doesn’t appear to think there is a great deal of significance there. Other readers disagree, and it’s certainly true that you can see patterns forming if you look for them.
So very much like oracle card reading itself, then!
Let’s dive in!
