Friday: A Wife, A Loss of Pride, & The Predictions Of An Old Woman. Hope From Sadness For A Senior Man
Friday 19 July 2024
Well, it’s all been going on already today, with network outages all over the world for banks and airlines (highly suss, imo), Trump waxing lyrical about his survival, Joe allegedly on the verge of abandoning his bid, with Obama reported as now suggesting he consider doing so, and Starmer hosting a big meeting of European leaders here in the UK, having had the state opening of Parliament and his first King’s Speech of his govt this week. What a “turnaround” week it’s been, hey?
So today’s reading is just a general. We’ll be going over our third method for big 52-card reads over the weekend (I was planning to use Biden as an example Querent, but will he even still be in the picture?) but for today’s reading, we’re using a Reversed Pyramid spread with the Italian Vera Sibilla cards. It is a classic general layout for this deck, but can be used with any other you want.
Here are the deets on this spread:
Subscribers can find out all about this traditional 19th century deck on the dedicated pages over on the Daily Oracle website; card meanings, layouts, practice exercises:
And since I’m mentioning the playing card refs in this reading, here’s some info about that, but you can find out more in the Vera Sibilla section.
So! Here’s the layout for today:
