A Simple Reversed Pyramid Spread

A spread that gives an overview of the past, present and future overview of a situation or question, & can also be used as a general reading

This is a very useful and flexible “overview” spread that can give insight into lots of situations, and as such is pretty adaptable. You’ll need to be able to read pairs and groups of cards together to get the most out of it.

It consists of 15 cards, laid out in the above formation.

Purpose Of Layout

This layout can be used either for a very general read which picks up past events and gives a VERY broad guide to present and future influences, or it can be used to answer a specific question (not yes/no questions). So “What’s coming up for me?” would be fine, as would “What should I do about my job/love life/money situation?” “What’s going on in my relationship with X person?” “Tell me about X person/situation” etc.

Suitable Decks

The spread was originally designed for the Vera Sibilla or Gypsy Oracle cards, but can be used with any of the oracle decks you see here. Obviously, Kipper or Lenormand would give a different flavour of answers to Vera Sibilla, but it’s still a very adaptable layout.
