A Man, A Business Deal, "Disaster?" That's The Message, But Consolations Too
Saturday 5th November
Remember, remember, the fifth of November
Gunpowder, treason and plot…
Interesting one, this, for what is Bonfire Night here in the UK, especially as there are signs of “conflagration” in there, a sense of something “burning to the ground” but also a deal or agreement. I’m using the exact same layout as yesterday, btw, but this time, did not pick my Significator, and allowed it to fall where it was, although someone’s significator card does show up elsewhere in the layout.
Here you go. Hmm, I wonder who this can be? (I reckon I know, and for once, it’s not the UK).
Meanwhile, the card that fell into the “Significator” position in the reading was this one. It’s the Wedding card, for deals, bonds, agreements (and very flamey in itself) although it has positive connotations.
And here is the layout itself.
So, we have:
(Disgrazia) Disaster: A fall, a disaster, a conflagration, a collapse, everything falling apart. Very similar to the Tower card in Tarot.
(Gran Signore) Main Man: The main man. In this reading and with the context of the other cards, I’m fairly certain this’ll be Elon Musk. What d’you reckon?
(Domestico) Service: The essence of service, employees, those who serve.
(Imeneo) Wedding: Marriage, a deal or contract, a bond. Similar to the Ring card in Lenormand and the Marriage card in Kipper.
(Gran Consolazione) Great Consolation: A big consolation; material security, stability, fulfilment, improvement, better than expected.
(Messagiere) Messenger: Communicator, journalist, bringer of news
(Mercante) Merchant: Businessman, business affairs
Disperato per Gelosia (Consumed by Jealousy): Desparate, in despair
So at the centre here, we have a deal of some kind (Wedding), the “theme” of which, from the card covering it, is “Great Consolation”, so material security, fulfilment, something that turns out better than expected. I think this is about Musk’s takeover of Twitter and all the drama there has been over that deal, which has finally been settled. A consolation for someone, and with possible advantages, but for who?
For more detail, we can look at the top three cards, which look further into the situation.
Well, it’s certainly not seen as a great deal for those already serving the company (Service), for whom it is seen as a disaster, the burning down of what’s already there and they’ve built (Disaster), by the big new boss-man (Main Man). Staff sackings, the removal of the current board of directors…
In the Outcome row, the bottom three cards, we see that the message (from those writing about it) will eventually be (Messenger) that the whole thing has brought the business (Merchant) into utter despair, into a state of desperate madness (Despair). But will this be strictly true? I’m certainly no big fan of Musk, but I do wonder about the current note of hysteria in some of the reporting about this.
Reading the cards in columns to connect the present and future, we can see that the message we’ll be seeing is pretty much of the whole thing being a massive conflagration, a horrendous disaster (Disaster, Messenger). Looking at the middle column, we see the Main Man, the deal and some consolations with regard to the business (Main Man, Wedding, Big Consolation, Merchant), and the employees, those giving “service”, being in a state of utter despair (Service, Despair).
If I read the cards diagonally, I could get the Disaster and Despair (for some) seemingly proving a big consolation in this deal. And perhaps the Big Consolation of the deal from the employees’ and now-sacked boards point of view, is the whole thing allowing them to get that message out about how terrible it all is and how badly treated they have been (Service, Messenger). Kind of interesting dynamics here. We will see.
A message of terrible disaster for employees over a deal, a main man, and a business. But could the deal bring its consolations?
