What's The Goss? People Chatting About Money & Wealth, If They'll Be Protected, and Financial Loss
Friday 4th November 2022
Today, I’ve decided to use a helpful layout that I believe I first found on Seaqueen’s card reading website. She calls it the Inquiry Layout and it’s one she put together personally (I’d check out her site, she does have a slightly different approach to me at Lozzy’s Lenormand, but she has a wealth of useful stuff going back a number of years).
Here, rather than the Kipper, the deck I’m going to use is the beautifully-designed 19th century deck Sibilla Indovina (Parlour Sybille) again, Do try it out with different decks though, to expore the different kinds of answers you may get.
In this layout, which is good for when you don’t have a specific question, you first pick a card that is going to act as Significator. For a personal reading, you’d probably choose the card that represents you, but you could choose any topic that you wish to explore.
Here, the Significator I’ve chosen from the Sibilla Indovina deck is the “Chattering” card. As you can see clearly from the picture below, this will focus my reading on "What are people talking or gossiping about?”
You lay the Significator card first, and then you cross it with another card. This will focus you on the “Topic” of the reading. And what was the card that came up? Hey presto! A Lot Of Money! (This is just like the Kipper Sudden Wealth). I should’ve known…
Now for the rest of the layout and the reading. So you have your Significator and the Topic crossing it. Then you lay three cards along the top - which represent further information, the energies around that situation, and three cards along the bottom, which represent the outcome.
Cards & meanings are as follows
Protector: A senior protective man, someone in a position to help, benefactor
City House: Main home, a building or structure
Victory: Success, win, achievement, victory
Chattering: Gossip, small talk, chatter, bitching, the word on the street. Secrets not safe here!
A Lot of Money: Big wealth, a win, a lot of money
Surprise: A surprise. Can be a breakthrough or solution.
Loss of Money: What it says on the tin. Financial losses.
Hope: Hopefulness, light at the end of the tunnel, wishing
So from the Significator and the card crossing it, this reading is about what people are gossiping and bitching about right now, and it’s money and wealth, the rich (Chatter, A Lot Of Money).
Looking at the three cards above for the energy around this, we see that they’re looking for protection from senior people who can help (Protector), the City House which in this case almost certainly means the government but it could also refer to people’s own households, and Victory, so someone successful who has won (so is this Sunak again?).
So putting that all together, we see that people on the street, the general public, are gossiping and bitching about money and the wealthy and whether they and their households are going be protected at all by the government after the PM’s victory. Is this well-known wealthy man and the Tories going to look after them, give them any help?
Looking at the cards along the bottom for the Outcome, we can see that they’re likely to get a surprise or solution (Surprise), that there’ll be a loss of money talked about (Loss of Money) but also a sense of Hope too. Is there light at the end of the tunnel or is it wishful thinking? Hoping for a surprise or something good, a light at the end of the tunnel, around a loss of money .
Now, the original reading doesn’t do this, but you can also link the cards vertically. What people are talking about moneywise is whether they’ll get surprise protection, a solution, from someone in a position to give that (Protection, Surprise). They’re talking in particular about household finances and money losses as well as governmental ones, just how much the government has lost (City House, Chattering, A Lot Of Money, Money Loss) And they’re hoping against hope that there’ll be a way out of this soon (Victory, Hope).
The word on the street is that people are mostly chattering and bitching about money. The wealthy, whether or not the government with its new leader will be able to offer them any protection, the massive financial losses incurred both for individual households and the government. Will Rishi be able to pull something out of the bag for them? People are certainly hoping so.
