Weekly Roundup: Surprise! Legal Judgements, Battles For Advantage, A New King, Unexpected Illness & Complacency At The Top
Week Ending 21st Jan 2024
Well, it’s been a strange sort of week, that’s for sure, with a few unexpected twists. Hence I think this card from the Sibilla Indovina is pretty appropriate.
Oracle Card Resources Added This Week
The classic Hungarian spread “The Gypsy’s Answer”, designed for Traditional So-Called “Gypsy” (Zigeuner) Fortune Telling Cards, has been added to the pool of useful resources for you to access. It’s a REALLY useful spread for answering questions once you know how to lay and use it, so do check it, and its little video explanation, out here:
Meanwhile, what of the news? Well, in the US primaries, Trump’s various legal and criminal cases do not seem to have dented his supporters’ desire for him to return for another Presidency, a hard truth for many in the GOP (and even harder for those not) to swallow. He seems to gain support from his battles, rather than lose it (which reflects the first two readings of the week), and won in Iowa this week, but all eyes are on New Hampshire in the week ahead. Let’s see if Nikki Haley makes a dent in his support there; she certainly didn’t in Iowa but this’ll be more of a test. Meanwhile, in Denmark, a “surprise” new King was crowned to much fanfare (although without the pomp of an actual coronation), see Wednesday’s reading, and in the UK, there was a Royal shock for the papers as Kate underwent supposedly “planned” surgery that will see her out of action until Easter (see Thursday’s). Not to mention Charles and his prostate (did we all need to know about that?). Either way, it seems to reflect the Russian Gypsy Fortune Telling reading for the month was done at the beginning of January.
Meanwhile, Sunak’s government continues to limp along, he saw off another rebellion (from now) and the political picture in the UK, even with a likely change of government in 2024 and a big swing to Labour in the polls seems… uninspiring and “meh” to say the least. Both he and his opponent, Keir Starmer, continue to be opposed from within, with huge divisions in their respected parties. Lib Dem leader Ed Davey not faring too well either, due to his involvment (or rather, ‘uninvolvement’) in the post office scandal. Incidentally, if you’re interested in what the cards had to say late last year about relations between Sunak and Starmer, check this post out here:
This Week’s Readings
Most are fairly self explanatory, so I won’t go into too much more detail here, but these were the summaries from this week’s oracle card readings.
This Week: A Legal Or Government Decision On What Can & Can't Be Done Brings Advantage To Someone With Big Ambitions
These cards suggest that professional advice, legal judgements and clarifications are likely to be coming this week, where something really gets tested. It could well be about a law passed or discussed by those in high office, and may concern chances, advantage and opportunities. In particular, something is likely to be taken away or removed by this judgement to do with the work in a role or day to day activities that can be undertaken. So it could be that a judgement is handed down that takes away the right of someone to carry out a particular task or do a particular job. It could, however, be that this ends up bringing value to someone’s ambitions. It looks as though there’s some kind of past agreement involved regarding limitations or restrictions on certain work or activities that can be undertaken.
It seems that in the past, something that has been given or handed down regarding this agreement or deal, even a marriage that brings a particular job role, or day to day activity involving restrictions and limits that are bad news and cause upset to whoever this reading is about (which isn’t revealed here, sorry).
Now it appears that there’s a malady or dysfunction somewhere among the higher echelons of society or government, or perhaps the reward system itself in terms of advice or judgements given around opportunities and chances available, so perhaps taking big advantage of those who are loyal supporters and friends and who adore whoever this person is. Corruption? Favours for friends? Who knows.
What’s ahead? Well, it looks like more legal battles and process and something of value that is taken in order to finance or fuel that person’s ambitions. Change, from outside influences or factors that we cannot see, appears to be going to impact on those ambitions also.
This one could be read in two ways; both about the situation in the US with Trump, but also more literally, with regard to Kate. She has had her duties restricted due to sickness, been told she cannot carry out any work right now, and with Charles out of action too,the question arises about who else in the family gets to do what, and who doesn’t. The cards fit both situations, but in entirely different ways.
The rest of the week’s readings were as follows.
