Weekly Roundup: "Feeling Better", Passions & Unwise Acts, the Trump Trial and UK Labour Party—What Did The Cards Say This Week?
Week ending 18th & 19th May 2024
So how have the cards done this week?
Spreads & decks I used included the Russian Gypsy Fortune Telling cards, a big Sibilla Indovina 52 Card Grand Tableau, a classic 9 Card Box spread with the Sibilla della Zingara, the Spread of Gossip with the Kipper cards this time, and the traditional Hungarian “Gypsy’s Answer”.

What Was In The News? Did The Cards Pick It Up?
Well, Putin met with Xi in China to try to cement greater ties. Passions and flames? It’s probably still political tribalism and demos. With regard to the issue of “returning health, later in the week King Charles emerged, with reports that “the King’s health is improving” (Camilla apparently says it could be better if he would “behave himself”) although a very surreal and somewhat sinister (and very red) portrait of him was also unveiled this week, in which he kind of looks like a floating head. Nice butterfly though. But he was indeed back in the frame of public life, carrying on as normal, which somewhat undermined the bizarre quasi Royal Trip that the Harkles did to Nigeria, while Archewell was in trouble because of a supposed late “cheque in the post” (or the dog eating the homework?) There was an intervention on that from Gavin Newsom (why?). And the Trump hush money trial continued, although it is not going very well for the prosecution.
Meanwhile in the UK, Keir Starmer’s Labour finally revealed some of their pledges as the public appearances ramp up on the realisation they’re nearly certain to be the next government. Alas, according to my reading on Tuesday, Starmer himself is likely to be in for a bit of a rough ride, especially with women or a particular woman who, it seems, is FURIOUS with him. But who? And what about?
Other politicians weren’t faring well. In Slovakia, there was an attempted assassination attempt on the prime minister, which didn’t come up directly in this week’s cards aside from the “passion” and “unwise behaviour”; nor did the gradual exposure of the abusive, violent behaviour of one P Diddy, but I’m expecting a LOT more will be coming out about him in the next few weeks. Time’s up for him, maybe? And as a wider issue, the power of money being used to cover up appalling behaviour; this is not just in the celebrity world.
So let’s take a look at the week’s readings in more detail.
We’ll start with Monday’s cards.
This Week: Positive Gatherings,But Also Passions Ignited, Causing Some To Act Unwisely
These cards suggest that this week we’ll be seeing someone having a good time at least, perhaps an unexpected coming together of people and discussion. So regardless of setbacks going on in the word, it’s important not to get despondent. That said, passions and fire will be inflaming some people’s hearts at this time, which will make them want to act unwisely. This seems to be a global phenomenon also, as international matters are in the frame again this week. There’s a sense of returning health for someone though, better than expected, and any doubts about loyalty and purity, not to mention jealousies and the green eyed monster, will be shown to be pointless.
Overall, it seems that someone at least will be heading towards their goal, although a temporary loss of physical condition will be leading to serious illness, even mortality. At the same time, there is very good luck afoot, and happiness and the fulfilment of desires are indicated. There could be a family disagreement, but then people will make up afterwards.
So here we have the ‘coming together’ which does fit the Putin and Xi, although I wouldn’t say that should be making people feel any less despondent -more if anything. Unwise acts, of course, passions running high, and we have the public “return to health” which was in the news later in the week, around Thursday. “Better than expected” indeed.
Now for the rest of the week: Keir Starmer, “unwise acts” stemming from a sense of moral repression it seems, yet AGAIN the same rumours resurfacing about supposed ‘royal affairs’ (someone getting bored, no?) although the reading this week suggests something else is far more important, and another look at the likely outcome of the Trump trial.
