Readings Roundup
This Week: Surprise Diminishment Of A House, & The Rage of Female Foe At The Lightheartedness Of One Who Was Meant To Protect
News this week of surprise rage or an outburst at the diminishment or loss of value of a trusted house or institution. An unreliable senior male who was supposedly protecting may claim surprise, but there’s been a lack of seriousness involved, and an overly light hearted approach to what perhaps are serious matters. There may only be small gains possible at this time for the value that has been lost, and that will make some people VERY unhappy.
I’m not sure about the “angry woman”, but I did wonder if this had something to do with the “attack ad” saga of the UK Labour party, splashed across the news on this day this week, and the loss of value and integrity many across the board politically feel it has displayed. On Monday, the Labour leader did rather surprisingly say he stood by every word of the ads, despite condemnation from many in his own party. I’m not sure “where they go low, we go lower” is ever the wisest political strategy for any party wanting to show it has more integrity than its opponents. If it is this, the reading suggests it doesn’t look like a great deal will be gained from any “fun and games” of this sort here. Meanwhile in Scotland, investigations continue into the financial irregularities in the ruling SNP, particularly of Nicola Sturgeon’s husband.
There’s also a sense coming through of a powerful man “fiddling while Rome burns”. That could, of course, apply to many people in senior positions of late. Generally speaking, the readings this week (See Friday also) were topped and tailed by continuing questions around value and integrity and loss of that for those in power and high position. An ongoing theme for the year and times, I feel.
Most of the readings this week seemed to focus on the breakup of particular partnerships and a marriage (well, one in particular. Again). Meanwhile, Joe Biden was on a trip to Northern Ireland (briefly) and Ireland, ostensibly for the 25th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement which broadly ended the Troubles and to visit the homeland of his ancestors. And meanwhile, 21-year old US Airman Jack Teixeira was arrested, revealed as the source of a major leak of classified Pentagon documents. (Document-leaking being a big feature of some of my annual readings), although I don’t think any of the readings were picking up on that particularly this week.
Tuesday: A Couple, Their Marriage, Theft & Ambition With Possible Thoughts Of An Ending
A couple consider their marriage, which may be coming to an end. The woman has big goals and dreams behind her, but also may be being viewed as a thief by her husband. It seems he feels that something has been taken from the marriage and used to fuel her ambition. He is thinking about the marriage, what has been stolen, and his own big dreams for the future. The ending is connected with whatever he feels has been ‘stolen’ to fuel ambitions.
Harry and Megz (yet) again? This certainly centred on a particular couple, and the rumour mill was in action again about the state of their marriage as the “will they, won’t they?” coronation-attending question continued apace.
Wednesday: Imprisoned In Bad Marriage, Private Thoughts Of Sorrow Over Ill-Advised Celebration Of Trip
Someone is trapped in a bad marriage or can’t get away from a promise they’ve broken. There’ll be great upset, and sad thoughts in private, although could make badly-advised displays of celebration around a move or journey. There’s sadness at having to make a display of being publicly upbeat, and upset over the poor advice involved.
Same issue, most likely, only Charles overly upbeat about Harry’s now confirmed attendance at his coronation, (minus his wife) causing consternation in some circles.
Meanwhile, there was also consternation in other circles about President Biden choosing to be photographed on his trip with Sinn Fein politician and former IRA commander Gerry Adams, still a controversial figure to many. “Celebration” would perhaps be inappropriate given the current difficulties in Northern Ireland government and power-sharing, hence the brevity of Biden’s trip.
Thursday: A Division Or Split Between Partners Brings Victory, Happiness & Gossip Over An Ending
A split between partners or allies, or somebody cuts off help and support. It centres on a woman, how she is regarded, what is written of or about her. The talk is or will be of happiness around the ending or something drawing to a close. Feelings will be communicated over the split, and there will be written news of happiness over it. Feelings of success or perhaps triumph over a woman’s break up, separation or backstabbing coming to an end or bringing things to an end, and there’s likely to be much communication, gossip written about it.
Same issue, same marriage, I’d guess, with some gleeful reporting and anticipation on “what it all means” regarding only Harry coming to the coronation and his wife staying away.
Friday: The Coronation. A Pledge To Faithfulness, But Often Destroyed & Undermined, With Future Judgements On What Has Been Lost
A ceremony promising fidelity is undermined by an enemy or opposing force. It has been a religious faith ceremony, but the constancy and tradition has long been undermined by periods of destructiveness. Ahead, we see a woman mourning the loss of something, and the house, structure or institution as a whole being judged.
This was a specific read on the influences around Charles’s upcoming coronation in general. It’s notable that this issue of value and lost value in a “House” or institution came up again, just as it did in the first reading of the week, even though I don’t think that was about the Royals. Who the mourning woman indicated for the future is, I don’t know, but there are certainly judgements involved, and that same sense of undermining of integrity and value that keeps on coming up at this time.
So that’s it for the week.
As I say, more resources and card meanings are being added all the time for different decks, so do keep an eye out for those.
Have a great weekend, and we’ll be back again on Monday.
