Weekly Roundup: Changes Afoot, But Don't Rest On Laurels, A Way To Go Yet
Week ending 26/27th November 2022
How did my readings do this week? Well, definite themes following through the week with various different decks, warning not to be overoptimistic; there are still bad actors in the mix, unfortunately, as well as distrust and diminishment. This suggests that there’ll be a generally negative “vibe” for a while yet and to be prepared, and that even if things look lovely, there are still battles to fight and struggles to endure. Sorry it can’t be more cheery!
The Week: Change & Options For Good Fortune But Overcast With Gloom
I felt that an awful lot of this week’s readings seemed to be Ukraine/Russia related, and much to do still with the aftermath of Russia’s pull-out from Kherson. A strong sense of initial victory and joy, followed by reality biting in the aftermath.
Tuesday: Surprisingly Good News Of Enemy's Demise, Talk Of Change, But Watch Out For Losses
Surprisingly positive news about the demise of an enemy, and talks or meetings that bring changes, but watch out for bad intent domestically or within an institution.
Infrastructure-wise, still a lot of problems emerging after the initial “victory”.
Wednesday: A Deal Brings Continuing Anger & Disquiet
A deal, commitment or agreement will continue to cause fury and strong opposition.
On a changed note, I couldn’t help thinking (and sorry, this was gut feeling only) that this was Scotland again; not the Gender Recognition Act row this time, but the possibility of Scotland having another independence Referendum getting closed down by the High Court, which happened on this day.
Thursday: Financial Changes In The House Of A Senior Man
There are financial changes afoot in the House of a wealthy senior or older man.
Now, this, I’m not sure of, and there wasn’t really much in the news that related to this. I’m often finding in readings that the “Senior Man” is King Charles, so this could be something going on behind the scenes—we’ve already had the additions to the Councillors of State to avoid Andrew and Harry being backups— but who knows.
One possibility and thing that did come up this week, though, was Labour leader Keir Starmer’s pledge to abolish the House of Lords if he became PM, which he may well, the way things are going. While reform to stop cronyism and any hereditary titles, is a good thing in my view, abolition of a second chamber filled with those who have years of expertise in various fields does not seem a wise idea at all, imo; a second house has on numerous occasions proved a valuable check and balance in our political system, ensuring pertinent questions are asked.
Friday: Success & Positivity Diminished By Struggle & War
Again, I think this one was Ukraine-related; very similar vibe to the reads at the start of the week. For example:
Joy Turns To Fear In Liberated Kherson
So there we go.
As before, please do let me know if you’d me to ask specific news-related questions of any of the cards. I’ll be back on Monday ready for a new week.
