Wednesday: Coronation Again? Previous Religious Judgements, A Promise To God, But Ahead A Woman Mourns A Loss Of Value
Wednesday 3rd May 2023
Now, we look at TONS of different decks here on the Daily Oracle, and if you’re a regular reader, you’ve probably picked up a lot about each of them already, but if you’re wondering what the main differences and similarities between them are, do check out this post (it’s available to everybody):
Overview Of Differences Between The Main Oracle Decks
For today, we’re using the Piatnik 1901 Traditional Fortune Telling Deck again. I focused on the Letter card for news at the current time and used it as the keycard in the centre.
Here are the cards I drew. Which seem oddly familiar, as several of them came up in my previous reading about the Coronation, which is coming up this Saturday here in the UK, and I think this one is about the same thing.
The Coronation, A Pledge To Faithfulness, But Often Destroyed & Undermined
The Cards
Letter: News, documents, what is written
Judge: Legal matters, judgements, judication
Ecclesiastical: Religious, priesthood, spiritual, a priest figure
Widower: An older man mourning a loss
Marriage: A wedding ceremony, promise, deal or agreement
Constancy: Consistency, wholeness, all-seeing eye
Thief: Something lost or stolen, a person who commits this act
Widow: A woman mourning a loss
Loss: Financial losses, loss of value
The Reading
At the centre, then, we have news (Letter), of a commitment ceremony involving religion (Wedding, Ecclesiastical) and Constancy (or the All-Seeing-Eye, which has a kind of godly quality in this deck), but also brings a woman in mourning for a loss (Widow).
So it could be a “funeral” or the Widow, whoever she is, could be mourning in the spiritual sense, perhaps over a loss of religion, and that is what the news is about (Ecclesiast-Letter-Widow). Perhaps someone is unhappy about the way a ceremony has been planned or is conducted.
Above that, we see that there’s news of judgement and something being stolen around this ceremony, or taken away from it (Judge-Wedding-Thief).
Beneath, we see what’s perceived as a loss of value and consistency for a man in mourning (Widower-Constancy-Loss).
Looking to the past, we can see that this older man has previously been judged in terms of religion or spirituality, perhaps by the Church (Judge-Ecclesiast-Widower): interesting given this is probably Charles, who’s now Head of the Church of England! Now, the news is of a promise and vow to constancy, possibly to God (Marriage-Letter-Constancy). But ahead, we get a similar message as in the previous reading: a woman in mourning, and around her, a theft or a loss, something of value being stolen. (Thief-Widow-Loss)
News about a commitment ceremony involving religion and God, but also a woman in mourning for a loss. This could be about loss in the spiritual sense, and she may be unhappy about how the ceremony has been planned or delivered. There’ll be news of a judgement being made about this ceremony and something being lost or stolen. And the older man concerned has previously been judged by the Church and religion or made a decision here, but now is making a promise to God. Ahead, however, there will be a woman in mourning for a theft, something taken away, the loss of something of value.
