Wednesday: An Official In High Position Looks Ahead To The Commitment He Will Make With Regard To The People
Wednesday 25th January 2023
So for today’s reading, we have a Kipper Card reading using the Fin de Siecle deck (which has three extra cards to the original 36)), and using what’s known as the Master card method in which the Coffin gets used a stop (or fullstop) card, and we don’t pull any cards after it.
The Cards
Expectation: Waiting, Passivity, Looking To The Future, Something Not Happening Yet
High Honours: Honour, Glory, High Position, Rewards, Recognition
Marriage: Marriage, Bonds, Deals, Agreements, Contracts
Courtship/Meeting: Other People, Meetings, Convening, Persuading
Coffin: End, Fullstop To This Message, An Ending, Death or Funeral
Thoughts/His Thoughts: Thought, Consideration, What Is On The Mind Of A Person
Community: Community, Crowd, Your People, Those In Your Environment
Occupation: Day To Day Activities, Work
Official Person/Soldier/Military Man: An Official, Someone In Charge, Military, Organisation
Pathway/Long Road: A Long Time
Now, we could read this from the perspective of the military man, or from left to right. Or even from the perspective of the Community (ie people) Given the direction he’s facing, I’m actually going to read it from our official’s perspective, as I think it makes sense for a particular person, but let’s not forget our Community card.
So we have an ending, a funeral or a death behind this official or senior person (Coffin), who is currently out and about in the process of meeting people (Courtship-Official Person). Ahead of him, we see there’s a commitment to his work or day to day activities (Marriage-Occupation), and this is is a part of his job, as well as gaining respect and honour from “the people” (High Honours-Community). But we get the sense that he’s waiting, looking ahead and thinking and knowing his future will take a long time to happen (Expectation-Thoughts-Pathway/Long Road), or he is thinking about what he’s going to do once he’s finally there.
If you just read in the rows, from right to left following the direction our official is facing, we have him influenced by a funeral or ending, followed by a Courtship or meeting people, a commitment or deal (Marriage) that binds him to a high position (High Honours) and then waiting for whatever the future holds for him after that (Expectation). Beneath, we see him focused on his work with the community or with people (Occupation-Community), and he’s thinking about that (Thought) although possibly with half an eye on how good it makes him look (High Honours, diagonally). And on its own at the bottom is the Long Road, or Pathway; that whatever he is thinking about for the future is going to take a long time.
Going diagonally, we see the death or ending impacting our official (Coffin), and bringing him to what looks like his commitment to “the people” for a long time, or a lasting commitment (Marriage-Community-Long Road/Pathway). Once they’re his people, he waits (Community-Expectation), but they will be waiting too, to see how things will be, and let’s not forget that they are reflecting back and thinking about his work too (Thoughts-Community-Occupation-Official Person). There can be thoughts about his position and honours and possibly respect for what he does if he courts or convenes with them (Thoughts-High Honours-Occupation-Courtship).
Finally, you can also knight the cards. The main thing about our Official is that he’s a person in a high position or given High Honours, but he must court the people (Courtship-Community). Thought is about the commitment that he makes and I guess too if he honours his agreements (Marriage-Thoughts). In terms of the role, the day to day work (Occupation), there has been an ending (Coffin), someone has been waiting or is expecting for it to last long time (Expectation-Long Road). As we said, the Thoughts will be of his commitment and a Long Road/Pathway with regard to gaining High Honours.
Don’t know about you, but I think this is most likely Charles and the upcoming coronation. Andrew is in the news also, apparently preparing to “clear his name” over the Epstein business so we will see about that but that doesn’t involve committing to “the people” and is probably a move as unwise as his interview, so it doesn’t really fit. William (or “Willy”) is also a possibility, especially with regard to the Expectation and Long Road cards. But I think Charles fits best. All about the role and the people
We will see.
An official person out and about meeting people, looking ahead to a commitment he will make to the public and to a public role of high position. He is thinking about what the future will hold, and the people will be considering too, especially around that commitment and the honour it is meant to bring, and how he performs the role. He will be looking in particular towards ‘courting’ the people with the work he gets involved in, and knows that they are key to his high position.
