Today, we’re referencing the prediction in yesterday’s reading about too much“fun” leading to regrets or chagrin - the big warning here not to do stupid things for fun, as too much unrestrained merriment will lead to grief and regret.
And what better card to explore that than the Chagrin (or “Infantilism”) card itself from Grimaud’s version of the Sibylle des Salons?
Take a look at my introduction to this classic French deck here:
So what is this all about?
Well, here are the cards. As you see a second card jumped out as I was pulling the cards for my final position and it was… the Pleasures & Diversions card. Which seemed relevant to the topic here, since that was key to the “chagrin” that the previous reading said would be felt.
The Cards (In English)
Reunion, Thought, Widow (Solitude); Letter, Chagrin (Infantilism), Soldier; Success, Trap, Death (Fright), Pleasures/Diversions
Let’s explore what it all means, then!
