Tuesday: Supporters Gather In Times Of Sorrow, Offering Help & Positivity, But Enemy Lover Will Be Left Wanting
Tuesday 17th January
And today we’ll be going with the Gypsy Oracle deck (Sibilla della Zingara), which has the same cards as the Sibilla Vera. So here is the card at the heart of it. Sorrow. it can often mean Bad News, but also sadness and loss.
And here is the full layout. It’s a kind of shortened version of the 9-Card Spread. If you’re familiar with the Sibilla Vera, the images should be very familiar to you, but they are even clearer than on that deck (and you don’t have to know Italian!)
Centre, The Issue At Hand
Sorrow: Sad News, Sadness, Sorrow, Loss
Faithfulness: Loyalty, Trust, Support. Note that although it’s similar to the Dog in Lenormand, there is a separate friendship card in Sibilla. This is more about the essence of loyalty and trust.
Support and loyalty in a time of sorrow and sadness. The faithful are rallying round.
Top Row, Further Details:
Conversation: Discussions, Meetings, Dialogue, Gatherings
Joyfulness: Happiness, Light-Heartedness, Joy, Positivity
Servant/Maid: Usually A Female Servant, Staff Member, Helper
Discussions and meetings that bring happiness and positivity with those who assist and support. Perhaps a meeting of support staff or supporters that goes well and brings lightness into a situation. A positive and helpful group endeavour.
Bottom Row Final Outcome:
Enemy: A Male Enemy, Opponent
Lover: A Male Lover
Sighs: Longing, Yearning, Uncertainty, Waiting
An enemy who is a lover figure is waiting, yearning for something, is likely to be left wanting. So it may be that he doesn’t get what he wants in the end
If you read the cards diagonally, you get meetings and talks where people rally round in a time of sorrow leaving someone waiting and wanting; there could be a sense of exclusion here (Conversation, Sorrow/Faithfulness, Sighs). In the other direction, you have supporters and those who serve, work for and help you, staff, perhaps, offering allegiance in difficult times regarding or for an opponent (Servant, Sorrow/Faithfulness, Enemy).
And if you were to connect the cards vertically, we get a gathering of enemies or enemies talking (Conversation, Enemy), joy and positivity with support at a difficult time for or involving a lover figure (Joyfulness, Sorrow/Faithfulness, Lover), and a servant figure, those who help, left wanting and waiting (Servant, Sighs).
Intriguing. It sounds as if “camps” are gathering, gathering the troops kind of, and possibly both sides think they’re winning, but someone is left wanting in the end.
There’s support and loyalty in times of sadness and loss. The faithful rally round, and there are discussions and meetings that bring happiness and positivity from those that help others, a positive group endeavour or sense of togetherness. In the end, an enemy 'lover’ figure can wait and wish, but will be left excluded and yearning. He, it appears, will have to wait.
If you haven’t already, don’t forget to fill in the poll at the bottom of yesterday’s post re continuing with daily emails or one weekly. I will go with the majority view; currently, a continuation of daily emails is winning by a big margin.
