Tuesday: Lost Ships, Battles Of Natural Forces, Navigation, Weather, Erosion Problems & Communication
Tuesday 20th June, 2023
Since it’s been headline news everywhere, and although it is perhaps somewhat morbid in terms of topic, I’ve decided to read today on the whereabouts of the missing Titanic tourist submersible.
So I’ve done a couple of readings both using the Gilded Reverie Lenormand.
Cards for the first reading fell as follows, with the Ship chosen as the keycard.
The Cards
Ship, Tree, Mask, Compass, Heart, Dog, Mice, House, Whip
Reading I
The reading is centred on the Ship or vehicle itself and concerns directions and guidance regarding life support and navigation equipment (Tree, Compass); as well as a fight against loss, and erosion caused by friction (Mice, Whip).
Around the vessel at the centre, we have the Mask, suggesting it is masked or obscured, disguised, perhaps, in its location. We have a passion or love associated with it (Heart), support and assistance (Dog), and the House appears to be describing it inside; a moving house, a pod. It looks as though there will be a lot of effort and struggle to assist.
At the centre, we have care and support around this vessel, and the Heart and Dog may suggest the “fandom” involved in the expedition. (NB That the Dog in this deck’s imagery is depicted as a labrador is interesting, given that the oceanic current in the area is named the Labrador Current. Here, the Tree, for natural forces, and the labrador Dog are knighting one another.)
On the face of it, it looks as though the navigation equipment may have had to deal with hidden ‘energies’ or natural forces, perhaps an unexpected pull from the sea (Tree, Mask, Compass). Underneath, however, it looks rather as if it’s a rather depreciated or diminished “home” that will have to fight to make it (Mice, House, Whip). Damage may have been caused by internal friction.
The recent past line suggests some kind of passion or love and growth that has now been undermined, or has loss and diminishment underneath (Tree, Heart, Mice). It seems that it wasn’t particularly seaworthy, but enthusiasm overrode the ‘cracks’. Now the vessel is masked, hidden somewhere (Mask, Ship, House). Ahead, we see the battle to locate it from support services (Compass, Dog, Whip); and it looks as though it will be a tough battle. It may also be that the supporting navigation system has taken a physical battering.
The diagonals suggest this vessel is fighting against strong natural elements (Tree, Ship, Whip), the life support is in trouble, and that the navigational equipment may have been damaged or eroded (Compass, Ship, Mice).
I then pulled some more cards without a chosen keycard to find out more. They fell naturally as follows, with the Owls (Birds) at the centre for communications.
The Cards
Owls, Bridges, Letter, Clouds, Stars, Crossroads, Scythe, Storks, Rider
Reading 2
So communication is at the heart of this reading (Birds), and an obscured connection or “bridge”, perhaps impacted by weather (Bridges, Clouds), with what looks like a sudden cut-off (Scythe, Rider). Around the comms at the centre is written documentation about guidance and scope, perhaps a map (Letter, Stars), as well as written choices or options (Letter, Crossroads), and some indication in a change or something new regarding both of these (Storks), so perhaps there was a change in plan.
At the centre here there appears to be about a choice or a route taken concerning communication about plans and guidance, perhaps routes or the map used (Stars, Birds, Crossroads). Again, this points to something about navigation.
Above, there are clouded connections or links, perhaps interference caused by bad weather. (Bridges, Mask, Clouds), so may involve misinformation about the weather conditions. Beneath, a very sudden change in circumstances seems to be involved, a sudden cut off, or, sadly, possibly an accident bringing sudden change (Scythe, Storks, Rider).
The connection and guidance, as we know, has been cut off (Bridges, Stars, Scythe). Now there is spoken news of change of a new situation (Letter, Birds, Storks). Ahead, gloomy choices arise, and the options ahead are unclear, very negative (Clouds, Crossroads, Rider). There are to be no easy choices.
Diagonally, the cards suggest some kind of contact or connection coming (Bridges, Birds, Rider) but communication being cut, possibly due to stormy conditions (Clouds, Birds, Scythe).
Hoping for the safe return of all onboard, but I’m afraid it really doesn’t look good.
The overall picture today is of a vessel, where there is guidance concerning life support, and a navigation system affected by natural forces, while underneath, it has been eroded or is poor quality, and there’s a fight against loss. The vessel is obscured or hidden, it is a moving “home”, and there is a passion or love, likely the Titanic “fandom”, associated with it. Help is on its way, but there’ll be a lot of effort and struggle to assist. The navigation equipment seems have come up against natural forces, been battered, and the vehicle is rather depreciated or diminished inside. There’ll a struggle to make it, and the damage may have been caused by internal friction. Previous enthusiasm and passion for it appears to have papered over the “cracks” in the vehicle which is now masked or disguised in some way. Ahead, support services are being guided and trying to navigate to it but it will be a struggle to find.
With regard to communications, the connection link has been muddled or obscured, most likely by the weather, with a sudden cut-off. There seems to be written communication of some kind that is important, perhaps documentation or a map, as well as written choices and options. Change is indicated, so there may have been a change in plan, perhaps connected with the route or map used, so something to do with navigation. There’s been interference and misinformation about conditions, bringing a very sudden change in circumstances, a sudden cutting off. Ahead, gloomy choices arise, with no easy answer or route to take. A connection may be made, but is cut off by stormy conditions.
You were on point!
