Tuesday: A Desperate Person Perhaps Turning To Addictions To Lighten Things, A False Helper In Times Of Yearning
Tuesday 25th July 2023
Just while I remember, given Elon Musk’s sudden decision to rename Twitter “X”, which rolled out yesterday, and replace the famous ‘tweet’ logo, I drew this reading earlier this month, which I felt sure was about Musk.
Man Bides His Time, Waiting To Put Something Unhealthy Out Of Its Misery
Will this dramatic move ‘work’? Is the whole thing nearing its end? Is he about to pull the plug?
Seems close.
Today’s reading, however, is not about Musk, although I may look at this in more depth later in the week.
We’re using the Vera Sibilla cards today, a nice gossipy Italian deck, and the cards, with the Room (Stanza) at the centre, fell as follows. A bit of a sad tale, today, I’m afraid.
The Cards
Frivolity, Despair, Melancholy, Falseness, Room, Sighs, Maid/Servant, Pleasure Seekers, Reunion
The Reading
There’s someone’s private life at the heart of this (Room), which is experiencing great desperation (Despair) which may lead to somewhat crazy behaviour or resorting to drink or drugs (Pleasure Seekers). There’s been a Falsehood at play, which brings only yearning in the private sphere (Sighs).
A degree of frivolity, flippancy even, in the private life (Frivolity) bring desperation over the falseness (Despair, Frivolity, Falseness), perhaps a flirtation, although there may also be some overdramatising going on, and it could be to do with a female “servant” figure or employee who has turned out to be not only false, but to bring a sense of derangement into someone’s mind (Falseness, Servant, Pleasure Seekers).
Meanwhile, there’s negative feeling on a personal level, which flips between desperation and yearning (Despair, Melancholy, Sighs), a longing for a reunion that’s driving the person crazy, and they may be drinking (Sighs, Reunion, Pleasure Seekers).
So there’s a longing privately for something that isn’t how it seems, for someone false (Falsehood, Room, Sighs), which may cause the person to entertain or ‘flirt with’ more serious despair and depression or even suicidal thoughts (Frivolity, Despair, Melancholy). There may be a return to addictive behaviour, using something to help them get over things (Servant, Pleasure Seekers, Reunion).
Recently, it appears that there has been something superficial going on with regard to this “false helper”, so perhaps it’s become a crutch of some sort, privately, in times of desperation. Perhaps it lightens things superficially (Frivolity, Falseness, Servant), but it seems there’s something more serious going on here, perhaps drug taking or self destructive behaviour (Despair, Room, Pleasure Seekers). Ahead we have a melancholic yearning for a reunion (Melancholy, Sighs, Reunion) a deep desire to come back together again. It seems there’s a lightness inside when that happens (Frivolity, Room, Reunion), but without it, are negative and needing help privately (Melancholy, Room, Servant).
There could be some “playful” or rather superficial acting out here (Frivolity, Sighs, Pleasure Seekers) and a putting-on of great misery over a reunion, a sulk, as well as it not turning out very well either (Falseness, Melancholy-Reunion). A desperate cry for help, perhaps (Servant, Despair, Sighs) which brings them back together with old “helpers” (Despair, Servant-Reunion), and a kind of derangement arising from both the sadness and lightness, so perhaps could be an indicator of symptoms akin to bipolar (Pleasure Seekers, Frivolity-Melancholy). A bit of a cycle though, with the sadness bringing false drama and out of control behaviour (Melancholy, Falsehood,Pleasure Seekers). There’s a yearning, it seems, for some help in lightening things (Sighs, Frivolity-Servant), and the “reunion” brings mainly despair and falsehoods.
Someone who’s not in a good place mentally right now appears to be turning to false “help” in the form of drink or drugs, which may make them superficially happy, but their despair can also turn more serious. They are longing for reconciliation with others, brooding over their desire for it There’s a longing, too, privately for something that isn’t how it seems, for someone false which may cause this person to entertain or ‘flirt with’ more serious despair and depression. There may be a return to addictive behaviour, using something like drink or drugs to help them get over things
