Tuesday: A Couple, Their Marriage, Theft & Ambition With Possible Thoughts Of An Ending
Tuesday April 11th 2023
For today’s reading, I’ve finally got hold of the “original” version (but not the “original original”) of the Wahrsage Karten Kipper deck. (This is the “later original” 1920s version where the cards face in the opposite direction to the way they were first printed. But for most purposes, no matter).
I drew a Master Card reading with the Coffin/Death card representing a Stop as follows:
The Cards
His Thoughts (Seine Gedanken): Thought, contemplation
Hope, Big Water (Die Hoffnung, Gross Wasser): Goals, ambitions
Main Female (Hauptperson): Main Female
Thief (Diebstahl): Thief or theft, something lost or taken.
Main Male (Hauptperson): Main Male
Marital status card (Ehestands karte): Marriage, bond, connection
Death (Ein Todesfall): Fullstop, the end of the reading, or an ending in general.
The Reading
Today’s reading, then, concerns a couple, a man and a woman, and they are at the centre. It appears the Woman has been thinking about her ambitions and goals (Thoughts, Hope/Big Water), but also about either taking something or something being taken or lost (Woman, Thief).
Facing her, we have the Man and their marriage or bond, and there is a strong hint of an ending (Death, which when I was drawing, fell alongside the Marital status card as well as being the “fullstop” card). It may be he is seeing her as a Thief, and is thinking about her ambitions also (Thoughts, Hope/Big Water).
Across-wise, we just see the Thoughts of both individuals are involved and possibly an ending (His Thoughts, Woman, Man, Death). Underpinning this is what looks like something stolen from the marriage and used to fuel ambition (Hope/Big Water, Thief, Marriage).
Diagonally, we have it being his thoughts, mainly that are of the theft or what has been taken (Man, Thief, His Thoughts). For her, it is mainly about her ambitions and goals, and looking ahead to the marriage, possibly the end of it (Hope, Big Water, Woman, Marriage, Death).
There isn’t a lot to knight, but mainly the Thoughts are of the Marriage and Marital Status. The Man in particular is also considering what he wants for the future (Man, Hope, Big Water), and the ending connects particularly with the Thief and whatever has been taken (Death, Thief).
A couple consider their marriage, which may be coming to an end. The woman has big goals and dreams behind her, but also may be being viewed as a thief by her husband. It seems he feels that something has been taken from the marriage and used to fuel her ambition. He is thinking about the marriage, what has been stolen, and his own big dreams for the future. The ending is connected with whatever he feels has been ‘stolen’ to fuel ambitions.
