Thursday: News Of Hopeful Thoughts Of A Senior Moral or Ecclesiastic Figure On Progress Or A Journey
Thursday March 16th 2023
Now, today’s deck is one that’s a little different; but should nonetheless seem VERY familiar.
It is a turn-of-the century (reproduced from 1901) Austrian deck from Piatnik called the Traditionelle Wahrsage-Karten, although it is also sometimes known (again!) as a “Gypsy” fortune telling deck. As one of many decks Piatnik have produced, it has 36 cards, like the Kipper and Lenormand, so not 52 like the Sibillas. But it’s not 100% identical to either of these.
That said, I think you’ll see from the images below, it’s another deck from exactly the same family as the Vera Sibilla and Kipper. All of the cards in the following 5-card reading should, as a result, be VERY familiar to you by now!
The Cards
Thought: Consideration, thought
Journey: A journey or trip, movement
Letter: News
Hope: Hope
Ecclesiast (aka Priest): A priest or spiritual/moral authority figure
The Reading
News is at the centre of this reading (Letter), around which is a sense of hope, either that progress is being made or about a literal journey (Journey-Hope). Around this, we see the Ecclesiast figure and his Thoughts so whoever he is (the Pope? Someone fulfilling that role or a moral figure? Seriously ailing former President Jimmy Carter?) it is likely that he’ll be making that known.
From left to right, then, we see his thoughts about a journey or progress, news of that, and then what’s likely to be an expression of Hope or a hopeful message or news concerning or from this individual.
News expressing the thoughts of a senior moral or ecclesiastical figure around hopeful progress or a journey of hope.
