Thursday: An Old Institution, A Man, And Discussions Over Future Arrangements With Regard To Age, Health, Strength And Power
Thursday May 11th 2023
Today’s reading is a 9-card with the Celtic Lenormand deck.
Just fyi, if you like the imagery, this deck, which is obviously Celtic-themed, includes not just two but three versions of the Birds cards, a Cat card as well as the Dog, a Shedding Snake as well as the usual Snake card, two different Tree cards (Holly and Oak), a female as well as male Rider and Child cards, and two different versions of the Gentleman and Lady cards. Just for, you know, a bit o’ variety!
The cards I pulled for current news were as follows:
The Cards
House, Birds, Tower, Key, Lilies, Ring (the clasping hands), Bear, Tree, Man.
The Reading
At the centre of the reading is the House, for a particular locale or ‘home’, governmental department or institution, even, which as it has the officious Tower sitting above it, may be the case (or it may all relate to the Houses that were so prominent in the Sibylle des Salons reading at the start of the week). It could also refer to a governing family or party.
Meanwhile, the four corners tell us that communication is key (Birds-Key) for the strength and power (Bear) of a particular Man. Around the House at the centre, we have a sense of longevity and establishment, tradition, perhaps (Tower, Lilies), and both bonding and solid growth at this time (Ring, Oak Tree), but also the Tree indicates an awareness of health and health issues.
The centre row shows us that around this House, (family, institution) is a particular bond or connection with tradition and experience, but also ageing (Lilies, House, Ring). And it looks as though there is a significant discussion around this at an official level, even perhaps, the government. What’s underpinning it is the physical strength and health of the Man in question, it looks like (Bear, Tree, Man), as if that is what is holding it all up.
The picture of the recent past is of talk or discussion over the “mature” strength and power involved (notably, it’s from the “youngest” version of the depiction of the Birds in this deck), hence the Birds, Lilies, Bear. Currently, the structure seems solid, with that Tower, for buildings and edifices and governance, the House, and the Tree, which is depicted as the solid, gnarly old oak. Ahead, there is significance in an agreement or arrangement or deal regarding this man (Key, Ring, Man), who is not really at the centre of the reading. The institution, or core itself, is. He himself is more peripheral here.
Diagonally, the cards show discussion of or from him around the house (Birds, House, Man), and the significance of strength and power around it also (Key, House, Bear). Knighting the cards suggest there is may be a spoken agreement about health issues or it’s being discussed (Birds, Ring, Tree), that age is a key factor for the man concerned (Lilies, Key, Man), and there are agreements around the strength and power of the institution itself (Bear, Tower, Ring). The institution rests on the man’s power and strength (Tower, Bear, Man) and his health is a key talking-point (Tree, Birds-Key). The crucial thing is, he’s ageing physically (Key, Lilies, Tree), and what is being discussed or negotiated in terms of an agreement is about power (Ring, Birds, Bear). As for him, he is himself ageing and representing an ageing, if established and traditional, institution. (Man, Tower, Lilies).
Personally? I think this is a Royal thing again, about discussions regarding what should happen if Charles becomes infirm or incapacitated, at a time when the ageing nature of the currently “working” Royals, many of whom are in their 70s, is becoming publicly very noticeable.
A house, family or institution where there are key discussions over the strength and power of a particular man. Around the institution or family is longevity and establishment, tradition, and although there is bonding and connection and a sense of energy at this time, there is also an awareness of health issues. Both he, and the “house” are ageing, and there’s significant discussion over this at an official level, underpinned by a focus on the physical health and strength of the man in question. The structure may seem solid currently, but ahead there is an important arrangement coming regarding this man, who is being discussed with regard to the strength and power around him. There may be an agreement being talked about regarding his future health and the institution, and his power when he is ageing physically, and what the arrangement will be if something should happen to his health.
Now, I haven’t had a chance to put any info up here about the Petit Lenormand yet, but there’s plenty of goodies and step by step info over at my sister Lenormand website, Lozzy’s Lenormand. So do check it out if you’d like to learn more about these cards!
