This Week's Roundup: Wise Women Or "Wicked" Women? Senior Women's Observations On Falsehoods Being Adhered To & Enforced With Enemies In The Ranks
Week ending 20th & 21st April 2024
Phew!
Well, some VERY interesting readings this week, many of them, except Tuesday’s on Trump’s trial, very much on a theme, and something of a warning about “wedding” to falsehoods, false narratives, and enemies in the ranks being given succour. Social media narratives in general, perhaps, but getting imposed from above and moving away from the truth, it seems. Very odd times, and I’m seeing it at lots of different levels.
Reading-wise, it’s that thing I’ve mentioned before where you might be using different decks, and yes, you’re digging deeper into things that have come up in previous spreads so choosing some of the cards, but then random other cards keep on popping up on repeat, completely unbidden. So it seems appropriate given the repeating themes of supposedly “bad” older women that we began the week with the one called “The Witch’s Tableau”. You can find out how to lay and read this spread, as well as some of the others we used this week, here:
And as a reminder, you can also check out how to read using the Method of Distance/Near and Far, with Lenormand cards here:
So let’s take a look at the readings themselves:
This Week: Dramatic Talk Brings Institutional Restriction, But Beware Of Falseness & Enemies In The Ranks Exploiting Sincerity
It looks as though we’ve been seeing a kind of superficial display of despair, a kind of crying wolf, which also has involved talking of great sorrow and grief. The talk has been of great despair and trauma, but it’s a kind of superficial or frivolous, even performative sorrow. There is absolutely real despair and sorrow somewhere, it seems but conversations and discourse has not been serious and games have been being played with what is said.
Under the surface, it seems genuine friendship has been lost or thrown away or a ‘friend’ figure has taken something they shouldn’t. An enemy’s thoughts have been in the picture. There’s been a theft or loss at the hands of an enemy and sincere friends, supporters and helpers, appear to have been doing some thinking - OR an “enemy” has been impacting what they think and believe, so there might have been some manipulation going on.
Ahead, and on the conscious level, there seems to be something “locked” into place or restricted regarding institutions, families, or organisations. Perhaps we will see restrictions and limitations being imposed , or perhaps we will see them trapping themselves or stuck in some way. But there seems to be a commitment, sadly, to falseness, to something untrue or fake, a bad deal or commitment. There’ll be “falseness” in the house, it seems, and restrictive, limiting agreements or pledges made. Under the surface though, it sees there’s positive movement or progress in some way and something an unpleasant or difficult senior or older woman (?) has been anticipating.
So there is a kind of “frivolous despair”, perhaps fuss-making and drama, leading to restrictions or limitation in institutions or businesses or very limiting structures. We have sadness being expressed by groups of people or in discussion, but a commitment in some ways to falsehoods, adhering or bonding to , even marrying something or someone that isn’t true. Then you have a loss of sincere friendships and support, or it has been forcibly stolen or taken away although under the surface there should be positive progress being made. How an enemy thinks or perceives things is a feature, and a negative older woman figure is waiting or expecting something to happen.
The terrible despair and sorrow appears to involve thought being stolen or lost because of it; or perhaps it’s a result of not really thinking carefully. So maybe thoughtlessness or even manipulation is involved. This brings fairly superficial conversations and discussions that offer succour or friendship to what looks like a male enemy. Then structures, homes, families, institutions agree to a deal or marriage or arrangement of some kind and there’s a moving on involving an unpleasant older woman. But someone will get trapped by lies, hoist by their own petard, maybe? Or just locked into them, perhaps, which may still override good luck and fortune and improvements being awaited.
Overall, we have despair and desperation or expressions of that (drama, perhaps) expected or anticipated, and something frivolous and unserious, or fun and games concerning an unpleasant older or senior woman. There’s a male enemy figure, perhaps a spy in the house or operating internally who seems to be trying to limit or restrict thought or thinking capability.
There’s upset over good luck and fortune for someone, but discussions will be moving on. Nonetheless, there’s likely to be the bonding of a sincere friend, someone kind and helpful to something false that has been stolen.
Our first reading of the week suggested a very strange atmosphere around at the moment with false narratives, much drama, but it’s manipulated and insincere. Perhaps values, truth and integrity have been lost; there seems to be a sense that people aren’t focusing on what is really important and serious and are having big performative dramas (on social media, maybe?) about what isn’t. Crying wolf when there are actually incredibly serious things going on in the world, and a suggestion of propaganda and manipulation of words. Perhaps an enemy disguised as a friend, or perhaps “friends” trying to be kind are inadvertently helping enemy forces who are trying to impact what is thought. This really does suggest propaganda via social media to me, and attempts to manipulate narratives and conversations and change people’s mindsets. Unfortunately, the result of this is often challenges result in, not a rethink, but further polarisation and ‘doubling down’. “Wedding to something untrue” as seen here (and this exact combination and many cards with the same message came up later in the week also with a different deck, see Thursday’s reading) and an increased sense of trying to enforce it from above, perhaps legally. It appears that an older or senior woman or women “called it out” are cast as the baddies, but the tide is turning underneath and she is waiting for something she expected to happen. It suggests that whoever she is (and this could be an actual person, like a senior female politician, or just older or senior women in general) anticipated this all along, but is waiting for the world to catch up.
The rest of the week includes several references to “The Woman” whoever she is and those in authority, but first, we take a look at Trump and the start of his “Hush money” case. Read on to find out more!
