This Week: Resilience Needed, A Falsehood Revealed, A Warning Not To Be Fooled By Charm, & Not To Lose Our Heads
Week commencing 20th February 2023
I thought we’d start this week with our old friend, the Russian Gypsy Oracle. Again, the reading is on what is coming up in the news this week (outside of a certain missing persons case, where very sadly, a body has now been recovered).
Here is the layout:
There were two cards which needed to be turned round to create extra images. These extras were: the Lady, the Horse (2nd row, third card) and the Fox (4th row, 5th card)
The Images
50 Bread 3 (Happiness) Fulfilment of wishes
38 Lady 4 (Support, help) Having sucked you dry they will turn away from you
15 Bear 3 (Effort with good results; resilience) You’ll get what we desire although not immediately
Horse 2 (Emotional upheaval) Outward appearance and beauty will turn our heads. Remember, this may not be rational.
21 Mice 4 (Loss or finding of object) What's stolen or lost is gone for ever; compensation unlikely
14 Fox 2 (Deceit) A falsity will be revealed
25 Ring 3 (Commitment between two people) An interruption of relations between friends
42 Scales 3 (Justice, balance) If we maintain our balance, we'll come out whole from a predicament. Time to use common sense and not lose our heads.
43 Crayfish 4 (Coping with fate) Too much haste often defeats the business. be careful, slow down, don't jump to conclusions
Overall
Scales 3 (Justice, balance) If we maintain our balance, we'll come out whole from a predicament. Time to use common sense and not lose our heads. Ultimately, in our fate, good outweighs evil
Crayfish 4 (Coping with fate) Too much haste often defeats the business. be careful, slow down, don't jump to conclusions. having made too bold a step, we'll back off
Fish 4 (Material & Spiritual fortune) In a tough moment we wont' sink but will rise to the surface. Good fortune, especially on the sea.
House 3 (Domestic affairs) Beware of people surrounding us, as they may cause economic setback. Eventually, there'll be success in all affairs.
A positive event, where wishes are fulfilled, but those who've been helped and who we’ve given much to may turn away from us. We will get what's desired, although not immediately, so resilience is essential. Outward appearance, superficial charm and beauty may turn our heads. We'd do well to remember this may not be rational and not to be blinded by how something glittering seems on the surface. Sadly, what has been stolen or lost to us is now gone forever, and compensation or getting it back is unlikely. A falsity or deception will be revealed this week, and there'll be some kind of split or division between former allies. The trick is to use common sense and not lose our heads, because if we maintain a balanced, steady view, we should come out in one piece from a difficult predicament. In particular, we need to remember that rushing and too much haste is often self-defeating. We should slow down and not jump to conclusions or hasty actions.
Overall, using common sense and not lose our heads and being balanced and steady in tricky situations should bring us a more favourable than unfavourable outcome. Again avoiding rushing is key. We should slow down and not jump to conclusions or hasty actions in the face of 'events'; it may be that having made a too-bold step, we'll end up having to back off, so expect to see a u-turn of some kind, and then us rising to the surface rather than sinking. We should have good fortune, especially in anything related to the sea. There may also be problems with people surrounding us, who may cause us economic setbacks. Eventually, however, there should be success in all affairs and we should eventually end up in a positive situation, with things working out well.
Want To Learn More About Oracle Cards?
You’ll notice that over the next week or so for those who wish to become paid subscribers, I’ll be starting to build up useful oracle card resources and reference pages on the main oracle decks. We’ll be beginning with the Vera Sibilla and the Gypsy Oracle deck, and details of the card meanings for easy reference. Just check in the new Vera Sibilla/Gypsy Oracle tab regularly to see what’s been added.
As the weeks go on, I’ll also be creating reference resources for the Sibille des Salons (Sibilla Indovina) Kipper and Lenormand also, which you will see appearing under their respective tabs, as well as a comparison page to discuss comparisons between different oracle decks, including the Russian Gypsy Oracle (which has many similarities in meanings with the Lenormand).
