This Week: Reconciliation After Fall-Out, A Breakup, Someone Coming Up Roses, But Watch For Wolves In Sheeps' Clothing
Week commencing Monday 14th August 2023
Once again, we’re starting the week off with a reading from the Russian Gypsy Fortune Telling deck by Svetlana Touchkoff.
This is a Russian “pasyan” (patience) deck of 25 cards, the images in which are based on the Lenormand, although it has additional images, 50 in all. In order for an image to ‘count’ it has to be matched into a whole by rotating the cards; no card can be moved out of its place. Each image can also be read in one of four ways, depending on the direction it is falling in.
The final card at the bottom right has its half-images read in their initial direction and then in position 1 to give an ‘overall’ picture. The cards are usually used for personal reasons, but I adapt the meanings for a more global/news context.
This week’s reading fell as follows. As you can see, two of the cards in the top two rows could be rotated, to give us the Clover and the Ring as well as the Branches and Scythe.
The Images
11. Branches 1 (Reconciliation or unpleasantness in family relations) Making up after a quarrel or disagreement
2. Clover 1 (Luck) Happiness and fulfilment of desires. Good luck is around now
14. Fox 2 (Deceit) A falsity will be revealed
10 Scythe 3 (Fate upsetting life, danger) A catastrophe will be avoided or escaped
25 Ring 4 (Relationship or bond between two parties) A complete breakup between two parties, often in a romantic, married or other bonded relationship
49 Dagger 4 (Hidden assault) Someone will inflict pain on another’s heart, wounding them deeply
28 Horseshoe 2 (Success) Everything a particular figure undertakes in the near future will be successful
Overall
The half images are read first in their initial positions and then in position 1 for a final outcome and overall picture
Cavalier 1 (News) We’ll hear pleasant news
41 Cat 2 (Hidden danger) We should all be aware of claws under a friendly exterior. Someone will charm us with kindness, which we’ll yield to
19 Castle 4 (Security & protection from enemies) A chronic illness but fulfilment of hopes in much later life
32 Moon 2 (Peace) Patience will bring that which you desire. An uneventful seeming life will bring happiness nevertheless.
Summary
There appears to be a reconciliation or thaw brewing in family relations or between those who are usually seen as a family, after quarrels and disagreements. Happiness and fulfilment of someone’s desires, at least, are on the cards, perhaps purely by chance. However, a falsity or deception will be revealed, and a major catastrophe will be escaped or averted—for now. We’re likely to see a complete breakup between two parties, perhaps a marriage, perhaps another kind of agreement in the public eye. Betrayal and backstabbing is in the air, and someone is going to get very hurt, with pain inflicted on their heart, wounding them deeply. However, success is in the air in general, with everything a particular figure undertakes in the near future coming up roses.
Overall, there’ll be news that many see as good, but everyone should be aware of wolves in sheep’s clothing. A friendly warm exterior is likely to hide claws, but for now, people will be charmed by a particular person. There also appears to be a situation where someone in high position is chronically ill, although they fulfil their hopes in later life. Patience is the watchword, playing the long game; a life that seems dull can bring happiness nonetheless.
Hmm… interesting.
