This Week: A Deceptive Solution To A Public Puzzle Around A Death From Officials. Wrongness and Mistakes Creating Pressure
Monday February 13th 2023
So we’ll be starting the week with the Lenormand this time, and a 9-card reading with the Ciro Marchetti Gilded Reverie deck. This deck has additional cards to the original 36: Time, Compass, Labyrinth, Dice, Mask, Well, Bridges and Magnifying Glass.
The reading this week centres around a death (Coffin), or if not a literal one, an ending of some kind or something that’s finally drawing to a close.
The Cards
Key: Answer, Solution, What’s Important
Labyrinth: Maze, Puzzle, Conundrum, Mystery, Knotty Situation

Fox: Deception, Cunning, Street Smartness
Coffin: Death, Ending, Finality
Tower: Institution, Organisation, Officials, Governance
Man: A Particular Man or Men
Garden: Outdoors, Social Circle, Group, Public

The Reading
Around the death or ending and that Coffin at the centre, we have a deception regarding a mystery, puzzle or conundrum (Fox-Labyrinth), someone deliberately complicating it or not being truthful, perhaps, and it looks like this may be on an official or public level (Garden-Tower). A deception in public, or just saying what they need to, being smart or cagey about it in public (Fox-Garden).
Either side of the Coffin is the mystery or puzzle, something confusing about the death or ending and it looks as though people in general or the public are in a puzzle about it (Labyrinth-Garden). Above that appears to be the answer or solution, a deception or smartness involving a man or men (Key-Fox-Man). A man or men not being entirely truthful or trying to be smart about things is the key.
Underlying or perhaps unconscious factors involve a betrayal, problem or mistake from officials (Snake-Tower) bringing pressure, responsibilities and perhaps guilt (Cross), or at least a major test.
It seems finding the solution to the mystery has been beset by problems or has been betrayed (Key-Labyrinth-Snake), or perhaps had issues going on underneath. There is deception around this death or ending coming from official sources, or perhaps things are not as they appear (Fox-Coffin-Tower). Ahead, you have a man coming, it looks like, under public pressure, or under extreme strain or ‘tested’ by other people, by the public (Man-Garden-Cross).
The solution or answer involves pressure or a major strain around the ending; perhaps the solution will involve pressure to bring it to a close (Key-Coffin-Cross). A man’s problems or betrayal around this death or the end of the situation (Man-Coffin-Snake).
Knighting all the cards, we have a solution (Key) being made public (Garden) by official sources (Tower). The mystery or puzzle itself (Labyrinth) involving a man or men under pressure or burdened (Man-Cross), the underlying problems or betrayal (Snake) around a deception or not being entirely truthful (Fox) with the public (Garden). The deception itself involving further problems and burdens or perhaps covering them up (Fox, Snake-Cross). From an official or institutional point of view (Tower) a man is the key to that (Key-Man). The Man himself appears to be creating confusion or a knot in terms of officialdom (Labyrinth, Tower), so could be an official himself and perhaps is making things more complicated than they need to be. People in general, the public (Garden) may have the solution to the problem, but alternatively may be a significant problem in themselves or coming up with wrong answers (Key-Snake). Finally, the pressure or burden, the major challenge (Cross) has been caused by deception around the mystery (Fox-Labyrinth) which may have been a deliberate tactic or misdirection.
I suspect this is about the public mystery of a certain missing person’s case (and no, I’m not speculating on the who, what and how “dunnit”, given far too many others have already done so—it’s not a police drama) and the utter mess that appears to have been made of it from an official standpoint, with huge public pressure to resolve and what must be unbearable strain on all those involved.
A deception around a mystery or puzzling death or the puzzle draws to a close for the public. Underlying pressure and burdens with officials and institutional mistakes. A man’s attempted “smartness” or deception of the public may be the key, official deceptions appear to be at work, putting a man or group of men under public pressure. Pressure to find a solution.
Meanwhile, if you’re curious about those additional cards like the Labyrinth and using them in readings, you can discover more about additional cards and related Lenormand things over on my Lenormand blog.
