Readings So Far
A very “Royal stuff” month in the main from what I can see, although not all… Here’s a reminder of some of the main readings so far.
This Month: Family Upsets, Drama, With Cunning Plans Exposed By Gossip, And Friends & Enemies Both
This month, there’ll be tears, upset and offence with regard to someone’s family relations, and a woman will offer help, but with an ulterior motive. Drama is coming, when any cunning schemes anyone’s had will find themselves exposed, and there’ll be unexpected yet interesting news from afar. Anyone loose-lipped and talkative will cause harm, and any alliance will weaken if not nurtured and strengthened. There are loyal friends and supporters, but there’ll also be an unpleasant encounter, although it should resolve to advantage and good luck for the recipient of it.
Meanwhile, we’ll see a promise, a wedding or agreement, and any doubts or disillusionment will fall away to the knowledge of being loved. This is despite arguments and conflict, and the sense that if someone hates you and has it in for you, there is really nothing you can do. Overall, there will be experiences of unexpected pleasure, merriment and joy.
The latter part of this reading certainly seems to reflect Charles so far (the wedding or agreement), relieved after his Coronation, where doom and gloom was predicted by many. But despite the rain, family conflicts rumbling on behind the scenes, criticism of a heavy handed police approach to peaceful republican demonstrators, and a certain air of nerves and glumness, (not necessarily surprising given the 70 year wait and the recent family spats) actually, with the help of positive press and some glam and/or theatrical outfits on display (cue Princess Anne as the Duke of Wellington and a deliberately placed feather), went far better for Charles than expected.
As for the first part, we’ll have to wait and see, I think.
French Riots In Two Readings: A Conflict Over End Of Financial Deal & Respect: Plus Disgruntlement With Macron In Particular
A conflict that is financial in nature, involving regard and perceptions, deals and communication. The “respect” aspect is one most likely to be being spoken of at this time. A financial benefit and a particular woman in the picture, likely the French PM Élisabeth Borne. But the deal is final and is likely to be strongly enforced and imposed. It also involves an end to an agreement around financial assets (aka pensions). A positive regard has come to an end, both in how the rioters see it and how they see the politicians. In a major conflict that’s now spilled out into the streets over financial agreements, the PM spoke positively of law enforcement in terms of the rioters.
In the second reading, the battle is centred again over disgruntlement over small amounts of regular money that a sharp, dark haired young man (President Macron) has brought to an end. The complaints and dissatisfaction have brought further conflicts of many people regarding him. The feeling is that he’s going ahead regardless, trapping the workforce on their work journey for longer in order to get their money, and there’s nothing they can do about it. And although the fact he actually went down this policy road and did it has come as a major shock, there’s also a sense that there is nothing more to learn from him here, that nothing he says now will come as any great revelation and is more likely to be a deliberate distraction. Cynicism abounds with his opponents feeling they’ve been trapped, and Macron is locked into that also.
These ones pretty much speak for themselves, after French protestors took to the streets in angry protest against the raising of the pension age as well as how the legislation was imposed by President Macron. Upheavals and disgruntlement with many world leaders are very much on the cards right now, and a repeat theme.
Falseness & Persuasion Involving Those In High Position, Especially In Legal Matters. The Public & The Private Are Not The Same
Problems abound for those in high positions, where there is wrongness, falseness or corruption underneath. A particular “House”, whether that be a particular business, a family or institution, or even a parliamentary party, is undergoing legal proceedings at the moment, and there may be cosying up and persuasion going on behind the scenes, with those in high positions in particular environments looking to involve others. But there is wrongness, corruption and falseness with regard to legal matters, things being hidden away or kept private. Someone is not what they seem.
Again, continuation of the theme of corruption in high office and general distrust. Again this side of the Pond, the police investigations into the SNP’s finances continued, while local election results in England proved pretty bad for the ruling Conservatives partly due to public distrust in general. Over in Pakistan, meanwhile, former PM (and cricketer) Imran Khan was in the news facing both corruption charges in court and arrest, while ex President Trump was about to lose his civil case on rape charges.
Plotting Female Foe Looks Forward To Superficial Healing Where She Can Show Off Her Gains
A strategising female enemy is anticipating healing problems through something light and superficial. A little retail therapy, perhaps? She’ll get to show herself off publicly as the perfect wife and mother—with an element of “See? Told you I don’t care!”
All about the display of bling, this one, especially with a proud display shown by the Haughtiness and Gifts card, for essentially “showing off the treasures”. My gut feeling is this actually reflected Kate more at the coronation than anyone else, particularly that bottom row (and yes, it struck me that there were the same outfit colours on the Wife card). As for the ‘foe’ part—well, it does depend whose perspective you’re looking at things here!
Four Quick Coronation Readings: Judgement Falls, Hidden Enemies, Change or Transformation
A judgement or culmination of a process for an older, senior man, bringing change and transformation, while a hidden enemy, or one lying in wait brings a costly delay. There is perhaps a secret, a discovery, or knowledge involved. Something may be hidden by or for a man en route. More metaphorically, there is a sense of transformation again, moving from one state to another with knowledge or secret information (or perhaps a Bible) for the man concerned. But an enemy who is high or drunk on something, mad or delirious, brings a surprise.
The news this week is of the ceremony involving religion and committing to God, but will also bring a woman in mourning for a loss. This could be about loss in the spiritual sense, and she may be unhappy about how the ceremony has been planned or delivered. There’ll be news of a judgement being made about this ceremony and something being lost or stolen. And the older man concerned has previously been judged by the Church and religion or made a decision here, but now is making a promise to God. Ahead, however, there will be a woman in mourning for a theft, something taken away, the loss of something of value.
The ceremony promising fidelity is undermined by an enemy or opposing force. It has been a religious faith ceremony, but the constancy and tradition has long been undermined by periods of destructiveness. Ahead, we see a woman mourning the loss of something, and the house, structure or institution as a whole being judged.
Any gloom depicted in these readings turned out to be largely metaphorical, with lots on change and transformation, with the ‘secrecy’ or hidden part probably the ‘hidden behind screens for sacred anointing’ part. Two depictions of hidden enemies though, so perhaps something extra we don’t know about going on behind the scenes, and I’m still not sure about the repetition of the future Widow card and who this would represent, as it doesn’t really fit with anyone we’ve seen so far.
This Week: Somewhere To Get Away From It All, While There's Surprise Over Amount Of Money Spent On Sweeteners
While someone gets away from it all, back home, there’s a surprise in store over the wealth of the older man, particularly in terms of country homes or retreats. It seems that there’ll be disgruntlement and complaints over what is seen as the frittering away or ‘playing’ with money around an institution or family. It could be that the wealthy older man has a problem with trying to sweetening things up, and the risks or gambles taken to do so may come as a surprise or shock. Now, the focus is on the properties of the gentleman concerned, which will bring disgruntlement over the amount of money, which is seen as a problem or weakness, particular in terms of the ‘gambling’ or playing around aspect of it, and annoyance over it being used as a benefit or grace and favour. It is seen as this gentleman being wasteful, but the extent of it may come as a surprise and act as an undermining force for him in general.
I don’t think this has played out yet really, as far as I can tell. Again, it repeats the theme of public disgruntlement over haves and have nots, in the main.
Tuesday: A Man Thinks About An Older Woman, And The Impact Of Her Higher Status On His Future Wealth
The reading concerns a man and an older or senior woman and his thoughts regarding her, specifically about rewards and position that have arisen from a sad situation and a marriage or commitment she has made. He’ll be preoccupied with money and wealth in future because of the older woman’s position or status changing, and the changes this will bring for him personally. The older woman, meanwhile, will also be thinking about these changes due to her marriage/commitment and how it has elevated her status. She is now a lot wealthier, and her marital status may impact the amount of money he has access to.
This, I was pretty sure, was about Camilla and other family members’ reaction to her ‘official’ change in status to Queen, although being crowned along with Charles just cements what was already there, really.
Wednesday: A Helper Or Employee En Route To A Reunion Wanting To Heal The Longing Of A Man In Mourning
A helper or employee, likely female, is making a journey or is involved in a big move, but is longing for healing after cheerfulness has been taken from her. The root of this is the lightness or superficiality of a get-together for a man, likely someone older, who is in mourning for what he has lost. She, or they both, experience much longing en route to this reunion or gathering.
This, I have no idea about as yet, and don’t think that this has played out
Thursday: An Old Institution, A Man, And Discussions Over Future Arrangements With Regard To Age, Health, Strength And Power
A house, family or institution where there are key discussions over the strength and power of a particular man. Around the institution or family is longevity and establishment, tradition, and although there is bonding and connection and a sense of energy at this time, there is also an awareness of health issues. Both he, and the “house” are ageing, and there’s significant discussion over this at an official level, underpinned by a focus on the physical health and strength of the man in question. The structure may seem solid currently, but ahead there is an important arrangement coming regarding this man, who is being discussed with regard to the strength and power around him. There may be an agreement being talked about regarding his future health and the institution, and his power when he is ageing physically, and what the arrangement will be if something should happen to his health.
Lots of comments in the UK press about the ageing nature of the “working” Royals, so perhaps that is what prompted this, which seemed to me to indicate behind the scenes discussions and arrangements in the event of future problems with the King’s health.
Friday: Unhealthiness That's Cleaved To Nonetheless, False Spirituality Around A House & A Young Man's Unexpected New Joy
A sickness or malaise at the heart of a household or institution, where a spiritual or religious falsehood has been at play over something brand new that’s brought surprise happiness, and good luck and fortune pouring on a faithful, loving young man around it. Despite its unhealthiness, there’s a lot of dogged loyalty around this situation or set up, but there remains a false spirituality around the house, family or institution. Despite the good luck poured on this new start by the religious, now the weight of what’s wrong falls on the young man. Unfortunately, the happiness that people are cleaving to looks to be betrayed and is likely to be shortlived.
I think this seems like a general situation of the Royals (though it was notable that the chief ‘crowner’ and Ecclesiast, the Archbishop of Canterbury, not only was getting flak from the right wing press for a speech he’d made this week in the House of Lords about the immorality of govt policy on immigrants, but managed to get himself a driving fine for speeding which was reported on this day). I don’t think he’s guilty of “False Spirituality” at all though, so we’ll see what this is about, although it seems to reflect many of the themes we’ve been seeing throughout.
So that is it for daily readings so far this month. Resource-wise we’ll be very much continuing with exploring the Kipper Cards in depth in the next couple of weeks, so look out for those. And don’t forget, you can access ALL the articles, card meanings, layouts and tips for various decks below from the Resources page.
Have a great weekend, and see you again on Monday!
