Privileged Man's Thoughts About His Distress Becoming An Unhealthy Occupation
Wednesday 30th November 2022
A read for today with Ciro Marchetti’s Fin de Siecle Kipper deck.
Sudden Wealth/Big Money: Wealth, A Win, Abundance
Despair: Despair, All Is Lost, Distress
Thoughts/ His Thoughts: Thought, Contemplation, What Someone In Particular Has On Their Mind
House: House, Home, Neighbourhood Or Environment, Where You Belong
Main Male: A Man
Occupation: Day To Day Activity, Work, Job
Great Fortune/Big Luck: Luck, Good Fortune
Expectation: Waiting, Expectation, Passivity
Bad Health: Minor Or Short Illness, Poor Health, Unhealthy Atmosphere, Problem
A situation where having a lot of money brings or doesn’t compensate for feelings of despair and sorrow (Sudden Wealth/A Lot Of Money, Despair). There are thoughts on the home, “House” or environment of a particular man, where he’s from, and his day to day work (Thoughts, House, Main Male, Occupation), and it appears that expectations of big luck, advantage and good fortune can come with their own problems and something unhealthy under the surface (Great Fortune, Expectation, Bad Health).
Reading across-wise, someone, likely male, is contemplating their great wealth, advantage and good fortune (Sudden Wealth/A Lot Of Money, Thoughts/His Thoughts, Great Fortune), while experiencing great despair and sorrow connected with their home environment or family (Despair, House). He appears to be waiting for something, has expectations or is perhaps a little “stuck” or unmoving (Expectation). This appears to be a man who’s a little unhealthy in outlook (Main Male, Bad Health/Short Illness) as well as his day-to day occupation (Occupation).
Looking at the cards diagonally, we can see a wealthy and extremely fortunate “House” undermined by an unhealthy or dysfunctional atmosphere (Sudden Wealth, House, Bad Health also Great Fortune, House).
The person concerned, a Man, has despairing thoughts, but also the expectation of that, and may not be doing much in terms of how he thinks to get out of it, and it’s all connected with his House and family (Thoughts, Despair, Main Male; Thoughts, Expectation, Main Male, all around House). So it might be on a bit of a loop.
It also looks as if he’s doing things day to day that are unhealthy; it’s become his “job” in itself (Bad Health, Occupation).
Knighting the cards, we see great wealth bringing expectation, perhaps entitlement (Sudden Wealth/A Lot Of Money, Expectation), despair despite enormous good fortune (Despair, Great Fortune), showing money doesn’t buy happiness, after all, and that this person’s thought patterns are rather unhealthy (Thoughts, Bad Health/Short Illness). The next card we can knight is the Man, and again we see that this is someone very wealthy and privileged (Man, Sudden Wealth/A Lot Of Money, Great Fortune). In terms of what he does day-to-day, the cards show him as both passive and despairing, as if he’s just waiting for it to be so, that his ‘job’ has become waiting for sorrow and sadness (Occupation; Despair-Expectation). But this sorrow seems to be fortunate for him in some way, that he’s able to take great advantage of it (Great Fortune, Despair).
I think, given the Male card, that this is about Prince Harry. Not only is his book being released in the New Year, but the Sussex’s Netflix show is to drop shortly, despite (it is rumoured) their efforts to delay its release and edit or remove some of its content in the wake of the Queen’s death. Expect much about dysfunction of the House of Windsor and Harry’s woes.
A particular House, a particular Man, and a situation of great wealth and good fortune bringing despair and unhappiness. An unhealthy continued preoccupation with his unhappiness due to where and how he grew up, his thoughts on that, and the degree of passivity or expectation it reveals, it can nevertheless bring him great fortune and advantage, despite that underlying unhealthiness.
