Negativity Expressed About Wealth Disparity, Labour Conditions & Dishonesty
Thursday 3rd November '22
Quite a big reading for today, but it REALLY resonated with the current times (perhaps the gloom of such a rainy day!) so here goes.
Again, it’s using the Ciro Marchetti Fin de Siecle Kipper deck. I do love how blunt these cards are about things. As a reminder, this deck has three extra cards, based on Victorian England and which incorporate more elements and disparities of the British class system and life at the time: Toil & Labour (a much harsher feel than Occupation, which is a separate card), Poverty (what it sounds like), and Community (“the people”, local communities etc)
These are the cards I pulled:
Sudden Wealth/Big Money: Big Wealth, A Lottery Win, Abundance
Concern/Murky Thoughts: Negativity, Negative Thinking
High Honours: A High Or Senior Position, Respect, Reward
Wealthy Man/Rich Young Man: A Rich Man, Business & Enterprise
Main Female/Woman: A Main Woman, Significator
Message of Concern/Sad News: Bad News, Negative Message, Although Likely Temporary
Thoughts/His Thoughts: Thoughts, Thinking, What Someone Thinks About Something
Mature Woman/Good Lady: An Older Or More Experienced Woman
House: House, Neighbourhood, Where We Come From, Building
Toil & Labour: Hard Work, Labour In Harsh Conditions, Grunt Work
Marriage: Bonding, Link, Connection, Alliance, Promise
Expectation/Waiting: Waiting, Patience, Passivity
False Person: Dishonesty, Something Untrue or Not As It Seems, A False Character
Reading the “story” of these cards in columns, we see first the issue of big wealth, perhaps wealth disparity, causing concern and negative feeling (Sudden Wealth, Concern/Murky Thoughts), and a wealthy man or the wealthy/elites being given high honours and high positions (High Honours, Wealthy Man). A woman brings bad news or expresses concern (Main Female, Message of Concern) and there are also the thoughts of an older, more experienced woman (Thoughts, Mature Woman). Domestically, there is toil and labour, people working extremely hard under difficult conditions (House, Toil & Labour), but all that’s being connected with is nothing really changing and dishonesty (Marriage, Expectation, False Person).
Reading across the rows, we see, in the top, wealthy elites being given high honours, perhaps put into positions of power, and a woman who expresses her thoughts about what the domestic situation is bonding to (Sudden Wealth, High Honours, Woman, Thoughts, House, Marriage). In the second row, we see negative thoughts regarding or from a rich man and money men in general, and a message of concern or bad news from an older woman about labour conditions being unchanging (Concern/Murky Thoughts, Wealthy Man, Message of Concern/Sad News, Mature Woman/Good Lady, Toil & Labour, Expectation).
Reading the diagonals, we see the big wealth of a wealthy man or money men (Sudden Wealth, Wealthy Man), and two women in relation to that (Woman, Mature Woman). The “house” or domestic situation of the older woman being unchanging (House, Older Woman, Expectation). Meanwhile, negativity abounds about a high position granted, which is thought to be “bad news” (High Honours, Concern/Murky Thoughts, Message of Concern/Sad News), especially with regard to work and labour, labour rights perhaps, and involves dishonesty or dishonest representation (Thoughts, Toil & Labour, False Person), as well as the poor work conditions being bonded to (Marriage, Toil & Labour).
You can also knight the cards, which gives us: A message of concern about wealth domestically (Sudden Wealth, Message of Concern, House). A woman expresses negativity about labour conditions (Concern/Murky Thoughts, Main Female, Toil & Labour). Then there’s high honours or high position relating to an older woman and a marriage or something being bonded to (High Honours, Mature Woman/Good Lady, Marriage). Thoughts regarding a wealthy man or money men and how things aren’t changing, or what we can expect (Wealthy Man, Thoughts, Expectation). And finally, domestic dishonesty, falsehoods on the home front, perhaps misrepresentation of who we are (House, False Person)
Negativity abounds about wealth disparity and labour conditions, and may be commented on by a woman or women specifically. The granting of a high position causes grumbling, especially with regard to work and labour, lack of change and what can be expected, and misrepresentation or dishonesty.
Love these readings! I'm leaning a lot
