The Reading
Here we have most likely a very wealthy person in authority or official (A Lot of Money-Military Man) and apparently very good luck with regard to legal matters, or a court case (Big Luck-Court). There is something wrong in the higher echelons, however (High Honours, Bad Health) and there is despair on the domestic front as a result (House-Despair). There could be some kind of deal or bond on the cards, which is connected with the thoughts of a senior or older man (Marriage, His Thoughts, Older Man). Meetings or the courtship of others results in a small amount of money (Meeting-Unexpected Income).
So we have here great wealth and abundance bringing good fortune and rewards to those in high position (A Lot of Money, Great Luck, High Honours), and some kind of domestic, local or House bond or deal with other people who are being courted (House, Marriage, Meeting). But underneath, there is an official or person in authority and a legal process where there is something very wrong or unhealthy (Military Man, Court, Bad Health), which causes thoughts of utter despair with regard to a small reward, victory or payout (Despair, Thoughts, Unexpected Income). And there is an older or senior man in the picture who appears instrumental or involved.
Looking at the diagonals, we have a lot of money involved in legal proceedings for those in high office and there’ll be despair at some kind of deal involving an older or senior man which gives a small victory or reward. And huge luck for an official or person in authority, which will particularly temper the underlying unhealthiness of the whole situation domestically, where thoughts will be of whoever is being courted.
Knighting the cards, we get a suggestion that wealth is being used to cover an underlying sickness in the system, particularly a connection or link to an older or senior man. The official or military man thinks only of high position. The amazingly good fortune brings despair regarding who is being courted or met with. Meanwhile a domestic court case, local laws or legislative procedure (so this could be one passed by a political House) bring a small reward or payout.
Hmm. Lots of “legal proceedings” going on this week with various senior people (and a couple of former leaders), so we’ll see what happens. This suggests some unpleasant surprises on the way—but for whom?
A wealthy person in authority or an official naturally has good luck with legal matters. There is a sickness in the higher echelons of power, bringing despair on the domestic front or in the “House”. An older or senior man could be thinking that there is a deal to be struck, and meetings and persuasion to others may result in a small amount of money or an unexpected small victory. Wealth brings good fortune and high position and rewards, and some kind of deal domestically with those being courted. For the authority or official figure, there’s a legal process or court case where there’s something very wrong, which causes thoughts of great despair and loss with regard to any payout or small reward that an older or senior man is involved with.
There is a strong suggestion that the wealth is being used to cover underlying sickness or corruption in high office, particularly with regard to links with the older or senior man. It could be that local law or a legal procedure is what eventually brings the small reward or payout.
