Friday: Moral Judgements Or Legal Case Involving Enemy Bolsters Jealousy & A Deep Desire For Destruction
Friday 28th July 2023
For the final reading of this week, I’m using the Piatnik Traditional Austrian 1901 Zigeuner Fortune telling cards, a precursor to the Kippers, that derived from the Vera Sibilla.
You can see my comparison of this with other decks here:
The cards for today fell as follows:
The Cards
Thought, Fortune, Ecclesiastic, Gift, Judge, Jealousy, Enemy, Desire, Misfortune
The Reading
At the centre is a Judge representing a legal process or figure of authority. Perhaps a court case, perhaps an actual judge.
In the corners, we have the thoughts of a possibly religious, moral or spiritual person (Thought, Ecclesiastical), an Enemy lying in wait and a disaster (Misfortune). So it looks as though someone is wishing hard for someone else’s downfall.
Above the Judge is the Fortune card, signifying good luck, which is pouring on the Jealousy card, so someone is getting bolstered, perhaps, by legal proceedings. To the left, is a Gift that has been received, and below is a Desire that has been created and is involved in the situation.
The thought and consideration involved in the ‘judgement’ or court case (Thought) regarding a Gift pours fuel and perhaps glee on a person’s feelings of extreme envy (Fortune, Jealousy). There is an Enemy figure, possibly hidden or lying in wait, to whom a court case or legal judgement is a Gift, and fulfils their deepest desires (Desire).
The figure of morality, the Ecclesiast, is also involved, giving a moral judgement, which, as we’ve said, pours luck on the Jealousy of whoever this is about.
But the judgement may bring collapse and disaster, not necessarily what is wanted, although it could bring disaster for the other party (Judge, Misfortune). The Jealousy here involves destructive desires (Desire, Misfortune).
At the centre, we have a legal process or a judgement that is a Gift to a jealous person (Gift, Judge, Jealousy). If there are moral thoughts involved, so much the better (Thought, Fortune, Ecclesiast). It’s fuelled by the destructive desires of an enemy figure (Enemy, Desire, Misfortune) - or the desire to destroy an enemy.
So the background involves Thought or perhaps rumination over a Gift to an Enemy figure, something that’s been given to or bestowed on them. Now there is a sense of good luck and fortuitousness (Fortune) regarding a court case or judgement (Judge) which feeds into someone’s Desire. Ahead, we have a sort of “moral” jealousy bringing destruction (Ecclesiast, Jealousy, Misfortune).
Diagonally, thoughts of judgement bring destruction. The moral judgements of or against an enemy figure.
So there’s a kind of pathological edge to this one, which is a little creepy imo. Whoever this jealous figure is should perhaps be careful what they wish for…
A judge or court case, legal proceedings, authority figures, judgements. There is good luck and someone jealous may be getting bolstered by legal proceedings, with the process (a kind of punishment?) fulfilling some deep underlying desire. There’s been a gift given in the past which the person concerned is jealous about. It could involve the thoughts of a supposedly moral or religious person who’s involved in the judgement and the total annihilation of an enemy figure. It looks as though someone’s rather enjoying getting to put the boot in and any legal proceedings are part of that, in perhaps a deeper way than simply trying to get justice.
