The Reading
As we’ve had in several readings this week, we have a sense of falsehood here, of deceptions, of a lack of truth and things being hidden and covered up (Falseness). Around this falseness or deceptiveness here is the sense of hope or wishing a positive outcome with regard to something wrong, a sickness (Hope, Malady), connected with someone, likely female, who usually helps out or “is there to serve” (Servant) at home or within a family or place (House).
Either side of the Falseness card is the Servant with whom there is apparently something wrong or who is unwell (Malady). It may be that the person fulfilling this role is simply not telling the truth. Above, so consciously and perhaps deceptively, we have sorrow, possible bad news, and loss and mourning, not letting go of the past, or giving up hope (Sorrow-Hope-Widower). Beneath, where there are hidden factors, the cards suggest a “healing sweetheart” at home, so perhaps a love affair arising out of comfort (Sweetheart-House-Doctor).
Recently, there appears to have been sorrow and upset, sad news regarding something wrong with a sweetheart (Sorrow-Malady-Sweetheart), bringing hope regarding something deceptive at home or in the immediate environment (Hope-Falseness-House). Ahead, we appear to have someone mourning and a sense of needing healing with regard to a helpful person, or someone likely female will be offering that (Widower-Servant-Doctor).
Meanwhile, diagonally, we have sorrow or sadness over false or deceptive healing, or even someone giving a wrong diagnosis (Sorrow-Falseness-Doctor), and mourning over a sweetheart who wasn’t as she appeared to be, perhaps mourning a love that wasn’t (Widower-Falseness-Sweetheart)
Knighting the cards, we get sadness and bad news regarding someone who looks after the house or family or who helps out (Sorrow, Servant, House), and there being some kind of sickness or malady connected with mourning or a grieving person that needs healing (Malady, Widower-Doctor). In terms of the Sweetheart, she’s linking with Hope as well as with the maid or Servant card, hopes of “being of service,” perhaps. the Hope is around either healing a sweetheart or being that person (Sweetheart-Doctor).
In the home environment and neighbourhood there is mourning and sadness (House, Sorrow-Widower), but for the “widower” or those grieving, there is some kind of sickness at home or in the environment (Widower, Malady, House). In terms of the “maid” or Servant, the one who helps, there is a tearful female lover (Sorrow-Sweetheart), and finally, in terms of healing (Doctor), there are hopes of healing from sickness or what is wrong.
So uh-oh. Seems very dodgy.
Again, falsehoods, deceptions, things not as they appear to be. A deceptive sense of hope where something or someone’s wrong or unwell, someone female who helps out a family or within a neighbourhood. She may not be telling the truth. There could be a display of sadness, grief, sorrow and not giving up hope, but under the surface could be a “healing” romance brewing at home. Recent sorrow or sadness over an unwell sweetheart or an unhealthy kind of sadness brings hope regarding something deceptive at home or in the immediate environment. There may be a wrong or false diagnosis involved, as well as mourning regarding a sweetheart who wasn’t as she appeared to be.
There’s sadness and bad news for or over someone who helps out at home, and perhaps attempts and hopes of healing a grieving person’s “malady”. A female lover or would-be lover certainly seems to hope to be of service. There is something wrong and unhealthy with the mourning or grief.

You’ll notice that over the next week or so for those who wish to subscribe, I’ll be building up resources and references for the Vera Sibilla and the Gypsy Oracle deck, starting with details of the card meanings for easy reference. Just check in the new Vera Sibilla/Gypsy Oracle tab regularly to see what’s been added.
Could this about the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria? Plenty of deception around building practices, etc.
