At the centre of this reading is the Mountain, suggesting, if it isn’t a literal mountain (and I only say this because one of my old teen crushes, British actor Julian Sands, has sadly gone missing while hiking on a mountain, which is in the news currently, and yes, I am old enough to remember A Room With A View) a block, something stopping, or a delay.
