April Month Ahead: Six Themes With The Sibilla Indovina (aka Sibylle des Salons.) Overall Picture? Feelings Running High!

So for the month ahead, we’ll now be working with a different Sibilla deck, this time the French Sibylle des Salons (Parlour Sibyl) or Sibilla Indovina.
As a classic European deck which was first created in the 1840s, and still retains its original imagery today, it’s a fantastic 52-card deck which is still surprisingly evocative in the ways it chooses to present its concepts and stories. Even more so, I would argue, than the Italian Vera Sibilla and its offshoots, to which this French deck is largely unrelated.
However you are likely to note the universality and similarity in some of the ideas to the decks we’ve already looked at: it’s just that sometimes, concepts, events and people are presented slightly differently in the French deck to those in the Italian/Austrian/ Bavarian oracle systems.
