Another March Month Ahead Reading: Broken Promises, Poor Advice & Corruption
Monday 4 March 2024
We’ve done one prediction already for the month of March, a general one with the Russian pasyan cards (see Friday’s post), and today, I’m doing another, with the Three Faces of Time past, present, future spread and the Vera Sibilla.
You can find out how to pick cards for, lay and read the Three Faces of Time here. It’s another really good general “What’s Coming Up?” type spread.
We have quite a lot of reversals too in the spread for this month, so if you’d like to remind yourself of these cards’ meanings, do a look at the card meanings index here:
So! Here’s the spread for today, looking ahead for the month of March.
The Cards (Bottom Right To Top Left)
Constancy, Frivolity, The Old Woman, Waiting, Servant/Maid (R); Hope (R), Priest (R), Wedding (R), Soldier, House; Reunion (R), Widower, Lord (R), Conversation (R), Falseness.
The interpretation is as follows:
The Reading
To take an overall temperature of the spread in terms of the info its playing cards give us, we’ve got:
2 Diamonds (Qs), one reversed, 6 Hearts (Cs), three reversed, 4 Spades (P), one reversed and three Clubs (Fs), two reversed.
Generally, this suggests this month’s going to be about personal and emotional issues, people in general, although with a more negative than positive aspect, some bad luck and negativity, or where luck’s not as good as it could be, for someone at least, and one or two more upbeat elements.
We’ve got two Aces, both reversed, two twos, two threes, two Kings, both reversed, three eights, three tens. So we’re likely to see some separations, personality clashes or rivalries, someone new in the picture, perhaps, a sense of uncertainty or helplessness, yet more battles and two senior men offering what is likely to be poor or weak advice.
Oh dear!
Let’s look at the detail of the spread.
At the centre of the reading for this month, we have the Wedding card in reverse. This indicates a broken deal or promise, a broken marriage, an agreement that isn’t kept to. This appears to have something to do with an untrustworthy or swindling senior man (Lord R), a double-crosser of some kind, and it is connected with an older or senior woman (Old Woman). So an untrustworthy senior man breaks his promise to an older woman, perhaps.
Next, looking at the bottom row for the recent past, it appears there has been constant frivolity, fun and games, regarding this senior woman (Constancy, Frivolity, Old Woman), and there’s been anticipation that a woman, perhaps a female employee who’s meant to be helping, was working against someone behind the scenes or for their own ends or to cause trouble (Servant/Maid, R).
Now, the situation appear to be worse; lots of disappointment, all hopes are dashed (Hope, R), and there’s some terrible advice from a senior male authority figure, possibly due to corruption or lack of ethics, or a court case may be lost (Priest, R). A deal or promise is broken or a marriage ends (Wedding, R), and as a result a soldier wages war on a household, place or institution (Soldier, House).
Ahead, there is avoidance or estrangement, a refusal to meet (Reunion R) for an older, grieving man (Widower) and an unscrupulous or untrustworthy senior man (Lord R). Communications cease or information is withheld and lies told (Conversation R, Falseness) or misinformation is spread to deflect.
Looking at the people in this spread, pretty much none of them are trustworthy or of much use. You’ve got the reversed Lord, an unscrupulous man, the terrible advice from the lawmaker or senior figure (Priest, R) because of his corruption and it seems to be neverending. On the other side you’ve got this unscrupulous man and the Soldier figure’s campaign, not to mention some female supposed “helper” who is doing the opposite of helping behind the scenes and is not to be trusted (Servant/Maid, R). Lies (Falseness) are told by the Soldier about the Old Woman, and there’s a refusal to meet or connect with a corrupt or unethical male advisor linked with her (Reunion, R, Priest, R).
What else? The older man grieves the breaking of the promise or marriage but anticipates it (Widower, Wedding R, Waiting). Communications stop or there’s misinformation about it concerning the institution or household (Conversation, R, House) and there’s flitting or dancing around it instead (Conversation, R, Wedding, R, Frivolity), while all hope of anything better is lost (Hope R). As for the broken promise, deal or marriage, knighting this card suggests it is to do with the falseness and lies of a false female employee/helper (Falseness, Servant/Maid, R), and a permanent cessation of relations (Reunion, R, Constancy).
Do we get anything else from pairing the cards?
Well, they tell us that the falseness and lies are constant (Falseness, Constancy) and that information is withheld or misused for fun (Conversation, R, Frivolity). There’s some kind of relationship between the unscrupulous senior man and the older woman (Lord R, Old Woman), and the grieving older man has already anticipated this and knows what’s to come (Widower, Waiting). Relations are cut off completely with an untrustworthy female “helper” who has instead been working behind the scenes (Reunion, R, Servant/Maid).
Hope of improvement is lost for the household or institution (House, Hope, R), and the poor advice of a corrupt lawyer or senior authority figure brings the soldier to battle again (Soldier, Priest, R) while all promises or agreements are broken (Wedding, R).
What a mess.
For March, the cards suggest it’s going to be more about personal and emotional issues, people in general, although with a more negative than positive aspect, some bad luck and negativity, or where luck’s not as good as it could be, for someone at least, and one or two more upbeat elements. We’re likely to see some separations, personality clashes or rivalries, someone new in the picture, perhaps, a sense of uncertainty or helplessness, yet more battles and two senior men offering what is likely to be poor or weak advice.

Communications cease or information is withheld and lies told and misinformation is spread to deflect.
Pretty much none of the people in the frame this month are trustworthy or of much use. The falseness and lies will be constant, with information is withheld or misused for fun. There’s some kind of relationship between the unscrupulous senior man and the older woman and the grieving older man has already anticipated this and knows what’s to come. Relations are cut off completely with an untrustworthy female “helper” who has instead been working behind the scenes, and any hope of improvement is dashed for the household or institution. The poor advice of a corrupt lawyer or senior authority figure brings the soldier to battle again while major promises or agreements are broken.
So there we are!
Let’s see what’ll happen.
