Welcome! This post will be the first in my series of reference posts about various 19th and early 20th century European oracle decks.
We will be starting our journey with the 52-card Gypsy Oracle and Vera Sibilla Italiana (“The True Italian Sybil”) decks, both popularly known as “Sibilla” decks. As you may be aware, there are various versions of these two decks on the market, that are sometimes spoken of with different names and in different languages (just to confuse everybody), but they broadly follow the same designs.
