Just a little three card for today, using the Sibilla Indovina (Parlour Sybil) deck.
A Blond Woman: A Fair-Haired Woman, but interestingly, usually, this card is seen as a female personality characteristic (in a stereotype of a “blonde woman”) rather than a physical description. It refers to someone who is flirtatious, a spoiled attention-seeker, a drama queen. Someone privileged.
Trap: Scams, Someone Playing Dirty
Tenderness: Affection, Love, A Mother Figure
So this screams of a situation of manipulation, tugging at the heart strings. It suggests an affectionate and loving rather selfish drama queen playing dirty (A Blond Woman- Tenderness around Trap) a manipulative or scamming woman (A Blond Woman-Trap) using affection, a mother figure and a maternal kind of love to entrap.
The “playing dirty” part really struck me today in the description of the Sibilla Indovina Trap card, as the words “It’s a dirty game” come straight from Prince Harry yesterday on the second trailer for his & Meghan’s new Netflix documentary about their alleged ordeal at the hands of the Royals.I’m pretty sure we know what and who this is about. Although it does have echoes of the obvious blonde woman, Diana, too, I don’t think this is directly about her. Using her memory as a framework, perhaps, to make out that recent situations are just a straight replay of hers. They’re not, but the media game is, and we all know how tragically the attempts by all parties to use the media to “tell their truth” and air dirty laundry ended that first time. You’d think younger family members would learn instead of trying to cynically repeat it. Sadly, you can’t control the media or its narrative; it WILL end up controlling you and taking on a life of its own. All fairly unedifying and I think there’ll be regrets about how things were handled in the long run, even if they make money and gain attention in the short term, just as there were for both Diana and Charles, regardless of the actual “truth” of the matter which I’m not sure we’ll ever really get from either side.
As the Queen’s statement at the time said. “Recollections May Vary.”
So I would agree there’s a lot of manipulation and dirty play at work here. But I’m not sure it’s all coming from the current Royals, horrendously dysfunctional as they are.
An attention-seeking woman tugs at the heart strings and invokes love and maternal affection in a situation which is a trap. “A dirty game” indeed, but perhaps not in the way claimed.
Great call.
