A Senior, Official Man Yearning For Love Is Limited In How Much Money He Can Give
Thursday 17th November
Going back to the Salish Kipper for today, and the inquiry layout, which I read “blind” (ie didn’t choose the Querent card).
Here’s how it turned out:
(Erwartung) Expectation: Expectation, Waiting, Patience, Passivity
(Ein Geschenk bekommen) Gift: A Gift
(Unverhofftes Geld) A Little Money/Unexpected Income: Small Amount Of Money
(Guter Herr) Mature Man/Good Lord: An Older Or Senior Male
(Militarperson) Military Person/Official: An Official, An Organised Person or Boss
(Guter Ausgang in der Liebe) Success In Love: Love, Friendship
(Grosses Gluck) Good Fortune: Big Luck, Good Fortune, Success.
(Gerfangnis): Prison: Imprisonment, Entrapment, Stuckness
So at the centre of the reading today, we have an older or senior man who is in a position of authority, someone official (Mature Man, Official). I often seem to get this combination for King Charles (see previous Kipper reading on him here), but it could also represent a senior politician acting in their official capacity. I should point out that the UK’s Chancellor of the Exchequer, Jeremy Hunt, is announcing his much-awaited (or rather, dreaded) budget today to explain how he’s going to make up the shortfall after the last few years, and then what with Liz Truss managing to tank the economy still further. Hello Austerity 2.
The top row gives us more detail. It suggests waiting, expectation or patience (Expectation) for the Gift of “a little money” (A Little Money/Unexpected Income). So a little money has been expected or waited for and now it may be given.
The bottom three cards are the “outcome” row. Here, we have love and support (Success in Love), Big Luck (the best card in the deck) but followed by Prison. This suggests great luck in love or adoration (so very unlikely to be Jeremy Hunt! Maybe Boris, who still appears, inexplicably, to have fans) but that it’s bringing entrapment. A gilded cage, perhaps, or being blinded in some way or trapped into something by love? (And if the whole thing is about an older man, it won’t be Prince Harry either). Someone’s hands are tied.
If we were to read the cards diagonally from left to right, we would see this “official older man” in a situation where he’s been waiting, trapped, or stuck (Expectation, Mature Man/Official, Prison), and from right to left, getting a little money “for love” or from friends or supporters, perhaps (Unexpected Income, Mature Man/Official, Success In Love).
Reading from top to bottom, we can see a wait for love and adoration, perhaps yearning to be liked (Expectation, Success in Love), then this older man being gifted with immense good fortune (Gift, Older Man/Official, Big Luck) OR that he gifts it to someone else. Finally, we see A Little Money/Unexpected Income and the Prison, indicating that money will be limited in some way.
So a very mixed bag, this. I wonder who it will turn out to be?
A senior man in an official position has yearned to be loved despite his good fortune, but will be limited now in how much money he can give.
