Today, I’ve done a quick reading with another Kipper deck, the Salish, which follows the original Kipper designs exactly, and is in German. In drawing the cards, (in the day following the resignation of UK PM Liz Truss, which I think yesterday’s Lenormand cards illustrated clearly!) I was thinking of the political, rather than the personal sphere. Who is the man, we wonder?
In this traditional method of reading, cards are chosen, after the pack is shuffled, by laying cards in threes until one of the Master cards is uncovered, laying that as part of the reading with the first card below it, and then continuing laying in threes. Kipper Master cards being: Thoughts, Main Male, Main Female, Expectation, Big Luck, Marriage, Meeting/Courtship, Winning A Lot Of Money, House, High Honours, and the Coffin, which I have used as a Stop card (ending the message when it is uncovered, a kind of fullstop or period, like the ‘stop’ in a telegram).
Here is today’s reading:
(Seine Gedanken) Thoughts/His Thoughts: Thinking About, On One’s Mind
(Mannliche Hauptperson) Main Male: A Significant Man
(Ein Todesfall) Funeral/Coffin: Here, I’ve used this as a stop card simply to denote the end of message
(Veranderung) Change: Changes
(Guter Ausgang in der Liebe) Success In Love: Success In Love, Friendship, Support
The cards show thoughts of changes made (Thoughts, Change) with regard to a particular man and those who love and support him (Man, Success in Love), followed by a fullstop (Coffin). Reading across, we see that what this man has been thinking is relevant (Thoughts, Man), along with changes in his friends or those who love and support him (Change, Success in Love). Diagonally, we see him thinking about his supporters and those who love him and how to gain more love and support (Thoughts, Success in Love), as well as changes he’s brought or experienced (Man, Changes).
Today, we see a particular individual, a man thinking about changes, perhaps changes he’s been able to make, with regard to his friends, those who love him, and supporters, or simply how his support base has changed.
